First time to post. I am not sure if this is the correct location so correct me if I need to post elsewhere.

I have a 2022 Jeep Gladiator Sport. No power windows or locks. I have acquired two doors from a 2022 that have power windows, locks, and mirrors.

After quite a bit of searching I am a bit confused on the power window portion. I have the wiring diagram but I am not seeing where it connects to the BCM. Is seems like the wires from the PDC run through the front and rear switches out to the doors. Is it really that simple? If this is the case i would not need a Tazer correct?

I attached the wiring diagram.

I have the wiring diagram for the locks and it shows from the PDC to the BCM then out to the doors. Seems like the windows would be similar.

Any help is appreciated.

The door locks I would expect to be BCM digital controlled due to the remote function.

The doors per your diagram does look like a more straight forward analog layout and would be more straight forward to accomplish given the time to source switches and some wiring work.

I have seen some threads on the JL side for doing the power door locks, but not so much for power windows.

I did this retrofit completely OEM for my 2023 Willys Sport JL. It's a pretty cut and dry project once you've sourced all the needed switches, bezels, wire terminals, etc.

Power windows don't connect to the BCM in JLs and JTs. It's purely electrical and there's also no CAN-C/IHS connection. Thus, no programming is needed either. The front switches control all four windows with power coming from connector XY302A in the passenger footwell and the ground point is somewhere near that. I'm not sure if alllll models are like this, but my car was wired for power windows from the PDC to X302A already. I just needed to complete that circuit from XY302A to the window switches and was good to go. The rear window switch is powered from a splice of that same circuit.

And interestingly, when you use the rear windows switches from the front of the car, you're actually just sending a relay signal to the rear switches behind the center console where the operation is actually happening. So if you're interested in using OEM switches, the rear switches are a must (I believe).

Do you have a parts list?

Is the harness there for the stock front switches, or do you have to wire them yourself?

I didn’t have the harness. I got lucky and ordered the front switches on eBay that originated from a junked car. It included the connector to the switches and the harness was severed from there. I had to splice my own wiring to it and pin the necessary connectors to the vehicle. Which I believe was mostly XY302A.

I wish I had any part numbers, but that info is lost on me as I completed almost 2 years ago. At some point I just bought a subscription to Mopar’s Tech Authority (or whatever its called now) to find part and wiring info I couldn’t find online. You will find every connector part # on there and its manufacturer. Pin part #’s too.

I have the switch and connector. How did you to figure out where to wire it to? What is the XY302A?

I just found the info in other threads on this forum and other Jeep Wrangler forums. XY302A is a connector hidden behind a kick panel on the front passenger foot rest area.

Here’s the wiring diagram for how the windows work OEM. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/JL-Wiring-Diagrams/WINDOWS.pdf

The way its supposed to work, power for the switch comes from the PCU through the connector XY302A. For my Jeep, the leg from PCU -> XY302 was already fully wired. So I just needed to pin and wire the leg to the switch. Once the switch has the power connection, you just have to route every wire from the switch harness to it’s appropriate destination.

The front windows will get routed straight to the front door connectors XY600A and XY600B. The rear windows will get routed to a connector below the front passenger seat called XY330A. From there, you need a new wire harness to route under the Jeep’s center console so you can connect the rear switches. The rear door window wiring then goes to XY430B. Past that point, the harness leading up to the rear doors should be fully equipped for power windows.
All doors needs new wiring harnesses, motors, carrier plates, and window regulators.

Just a few pictures. Wish I took more when I did this.

The gray connector is XY302A.

Then there’s a mess of wiring I had when I got done splicing all the wiring to the window connector switch lol

Cool, thanks! Is the harness for the main switches be part of the main instrument panel harness, or do you think it's a separate harness? I already have everything except the harness under the console to the rear switches and the rear switches.

I thiiiink it’s part of the main body harness for that part of the car. From what I’ve seen, it’s a task an a half to replace all that and not worth it. I just essentially made my own supplemental harness and tried to hide the wires the best I could. Bought some auto wire harness tape and everything to keep it organized and looking clean.

That's what I'll have to try.
