My dealer has ordered a replacement top for mine free of charge as well. Will report back once I’ve picked it up

Anybody with this issue have the driver side latch spontaneously unhook itself and that side of the top start flapping upward? So, there is a post on another forum claiming that Jeep has fixed the Premium soft top from making a loud rumble in certain situation by making it 12 mm shorter. Has anyone else heard anything about this? It only happened to me once on a very windy day and only lasted a minute or two, but if I can get a new top and the issue never comes back that would be great. The OP claimed he received his new soft top within a day of ordering.
Follow-up: The dealer ordered a new latch for the driver side. After they installed it, the driver & passenger latches both require about the same amount of force to latch (before, the driver side needed MUCH LESS force to close). I haven't had any problems since.Anybody with this issue have the driver side latch spontaneously unhook itself and that side of the top start flapping upward?
I was driving ~70mpn into a 40-45mph wind yesterday, when driver side unlatched & the top started to fly open. It frightened me pretty good. We pulled off the road, got the top re-latched. About 5 miles up the road, same wind, same speed, I was passing a semi and driver side popped loose again! I darn near ran into that truck!
When the vehicle is stopped, it takes FAR less force to unhook driver side than it does passenger.
I got my soft top as part of dual top option. My JT was built on or about 10/07. Is there any chance I got one of the older tops? The box that the soft top was in says pkg: 2019/09/27.
I'll be taking mine in for 5,000 mile oil change -- I'll have them check it then.
Did you do anything about this? I just bought a new in box premium soft top (second hand) from a guy with a 2020 JT. I get some of the flapping and buffeting as well. Curious what my options are.Ok. I found a good deal on a premium soft top with Gladiator build date of 11/19. This is outside the dates listed in this thread shown to be problematic so I should be all set but my question to the group is:
If this top is problematic for me, even though it is new and unused but bought second hand, will any problems be covered by Jeep‘S warranty?
I still haven’t installed it. If you end up going to the dealership I’d be curious to know how they treat the situationDid you do anything about this?
