I'm not sure - they do have one in town an hour away but that was the online price that showed. Maybe just my location? Not really sure....

I ended up ordering something else though - not a winch but a different needed part for the Jeep. The winch will have to wait for the next sale

This is true .... on the other hand, don't feel like you have to run to HF today and get this winch. If you are patient, this sort of member's coupon or discount seems to come around every month or two.... I know, because I've been on the fence about an Apex 12k synthetic winch, but other fun stuff has been taking priority over the winch.

No one includes sales tax when talking prices. If something is 630, we say it's 630, and assume the other end is going to add THEIR sales tax, if any. If we mentioned prices with sales tax, that would really confuse things!

So when we talk prices, it's always the price of the item, nothing else. Just the item.

The price is $629.99 if you look at the ad.
No one will ever talk about a price with sales tax. And we don't talk shipping as most will see that and go get one.
And they aren't allowed to advertise the price of an item with tax included. (at least not here). All prices listed in any ads must be pre-tax.

So when I said it's $629.99 and it's 20% off - that's there the 504 comes from - no tax. Not sure where you got your price.

That's all any of us ever talk. No one mentions tax. And we don't talk shipping. We talk their advertised price, and what the coupon is.
Never seen a discussion online where someone says "hey, winches for $xxx" and that includes tax. Even where I live, the tax varies with the town you are in. It would be totally confusing to talk prices with tax.
