So the M8274-70 and cover are mounted in the custom cradle (modeled after the planetary winch cradle) and the chopped up OEM steel bumper are all ready and done. (Cover necessary for sun UV management...will be taken off at home prior to wheeling)

Packaging is nice and tight, and the front camera still sees somewhat above the winch. Today should install the BD lights on the sides of the winch.

May I see a pic of the M8274 and bumper without the cover.

Documenting here my JTR build Starting off with a Launch Edition JTR with lots of goodies from the factory but missing the Halo lights and the Rubicon fenders for this region specs.:

Interesting that there is a Launch Edition in Dubai -
I see you have different fenders and rear fogs and tail lights - what else is different from the US LE?
These are ,I believe, the options on the US JTR Launch Edition.including pics of the US and Canadian LE badges. Would love to see a list with some pictures of the differences.
Thx

Great info...I'll triple check the build sheet and get back to you, but in terms of badge, we have the same except without the 419 or 4190 number...

Quick update here...

The rack is finished and powder coated...came out exactly what I wanted and now getting accessories mounted for space optimization (2 folding aluminum table under the tent in the middle, a pair of Max Trax one per side longitudinally, light sand shovel, toilet awning and maybe a Blue Ridge quick release small Pelican as a first aid kit...).

The iKamper is getting painted with matching Granite Metallic, and a 110cm x 55cm 100W panel will be glued on top. this should be done by end of week.

Finally, added the Warn MOLLE packs behind the front seats: good extra storage...also added the Fox ATS steering damper...no pictures there but it looks good ☺.

We will also finalize the front winch set-up with the bigger Warn Square nuts and plate behind the rear fairlead, and new SS bolts...

Next up is the under body cradle with battery, air tank, and air pump...and then setting up the solar panel & the whole auxiliary power system...hopefully by then the matte bronze Methods & 315 BFGs will be mounted...

Tent is now painted to match and solar panel will be glued on with special glue in the coming couple of days. Also quick release for the FAK Pelican box will be mounted on the passenger bedside.

The AUX switches have been ordered so next week we should be up and running for the BD lights, rear work light, amber under tent light, rear fridge, and water pump for the Hot water system...cradle in 6mm aluminum is drawn and will be cut tomorrow and welded up...the Method wheels are at the customs clearance so by next week we should be on 35s...progressing.

Update on the build:
  • Methods came in Thursday night so fitted today with 315/70-17 BFG ATKO2
  • No Lift for a week until it arrives but no rubbing turning lock to lock and normal driving with some big speed bumps and such...im liking the low look...but the rear springs are being challenged with the weight of the rack, tent and 65L of water...so 2.5” Evo lift in need...
  • Tent got a deep cleaning after the paint and Wednesday we will do the solar panel installation (kept the original tent color there so the glue would adhere better), with the solar monitor under the steering wheel on that pop out panel, and the dual battery monitor on the passenger side of the auto shifter.
  • Also tested the hot water system...had some assembly issues (screen not glued well, a couple of loose connections leaking water), but overall great set-up for a propane heater...
Next week is busy:
Tuesday we install the two undercarriage cradles...one large for the 4gal air tank and aux battery, and one small for the air pump.
Wednesday solar and all aux electrics
Thursday Evo lift and OEM auxiliary switch panels.

Only thing not really sorted yet are the shocks...I really want to go with the biggest possible...Fox’s IBP 3.0s are available for the front but haven’t heard back from the on the tears (I heard they take ages to respond). Might call them Monday...

Lift kit: Evo Overland Stage 1 2.5" (no shocks), I ordered the front track bar separately, and the rear will get the Rock Krawler 4-link cradle upgrade. It should arrive in Dubai by Wednesday EOD.

Shocks: I'd love to install the Fox 3.0" IBPs with the reservoirs...but they are YET to respond back to my emails...the fronts are the same as the JLs, rear upper mounts are slightly different...King 2.5s are a second option...and then finally I am having conversations with Öhlins to see if they have any options...for now, I'll use the shock extenders and OEM fox 2.0s....

I'm thinking of installing the Clayton 3.5" Premium lift kit with 3.0 Fox Shocks, I've contacted Fox Racing and they've mentioned that the 3.0 are still in testing phase. They will be available in 3 to 4 months max. I've also thought of 2.5 Shocks where they're available here in Dubai.

We should meet up (with social distancing of 2m of course :)...)...yeah, I hear you on the 2.5s but I prefer to hold up...season towards the end so prefer to wait for the 3.0s

Yes we should 2 meters of distance :like: it's rare to find people driving the gladiator in the UAE. Just drop me a direct message on Instagram (wrangler.ae)

I noticed the gear slide in your bed. Could you provide some info and pictures about it?

Nice Gladiator! Interesting the differences between US spec and UAE/export spec "Rubicon" models.

Export Rubicon hood looks cool.

Thank you for sharing your build.

Thanks man...the gear slide is from Snowmaster, it was the shallowest one out there to work with the shallowest fridge/freezer so worked well.
