I really can't believe this thread is still going on. It works just like all my other vehicles with ATC.

Its really BS posters like you that attack people with legitimate issues for no reason that keep this thread going. It’s prob safe to say you havent read this whole thread from beginning to end. Some people are having legitimate issues.Seems the OP instigator with his BS title about a BS issue bailed long ago. This thread needs to die. Like everything else, if yours doesn’t work have it fixed and move on. If it’s too hot turn it down, too cold turn it up, just right leave it alone. Simple is as simple does.
This guy is why, there is a true manual mode, you are broken. Its really BS posters like you that attack people with legitimate issues for no reason that keep this thread going. It’s prob safe to say you havent read this whole thread from beginning to end. Some people are having legitimate issues.
Reality of the matter is the auto system is not the best design, the manual and auto modes Function very similar (not to mention there is NO reliable source to explain how manual mode actually works other than assumptions), lastly YOU NEED TRUE MANUAL mode in a Jeep that the doors and top come off!!! The auto HVAC keeps trying to regulate to the cabin temp. Guess the engineers forgot that piece of the equation.
Can you not turn it off?...lastly YOU NEED TRUE MANUAL mode in a Jeep that the doors and top come off!!! The auto HVAC keeps trying to regulate to the cabin temp. Guess the engineers forgot that piece of the equation.
No there isn’t a “true” manual mode- you can adjust “one” parameter but all the rest auto adjusts... calling it true manual is bs and what causes lots of confusion between owners when it’s not truly a manual mode. This guy is why, there is a true manual mode, you are broken.
That has been proven wrong, your truck is broken, please take it in and have it fixed, sell it, or set it on fire, your choice, but stop spreading lies.No there isn’t a “true” manual mode- you can adjust “one” parameter but all the rest auto adjusts... calling it true manual is bs and what causes lots of confusion between owners when it’s not truly a manual mode.

In manual mode the fan does not change speed unless you change it.
In manual mode the vents air flow out of do not change unless you change them.
In manual mode the AC setting does not change unless you change it.
In manual mode the temperature flowing out of the vents blends warm/cool air based on your setting of the number and the temp at the thermostat.
This is The Way

Mine, typically turns on the rear window defrost, but never the front window defrost. That is crazy, too. I am, also, not going to start a thread warning the world not to buy something because of the quirks of my Gladiator. I would probably be driving with my gloves on like my other vehicles, but now I actually like the hot steering wheel. My wife’s new Volvo XC40 has 3 levels of heat on the steering wheel, which is better.I also don’t like that the steering wheel and seat heat turns on any time I start it and the temp is 39 degrees or lower. That feature was designed in and I have to press the buttons four times to turn it off.
Just facts, as many have told you, over, and over, and over.Proven wrong LOL, your a funny dude. Everyone, Sean’s way is the only way!! Please listen to him he is god of the gladiators

I have read the entire and even posted early when it was first started. My Rubi has the same “not the best design” hvac set up. However, like every other vehicle I’ve owned, you figure out the peculiar traits and adjust or realize yours is broken and take it in for service. The OP starts a thread with an ominous title and then bails. Poor form. I also don’t like that the steering wheel and seat heat turns on any time I start it and the temp is 39 degrees or lower. That feature was designed in and I have to press the buttons four times to turn it off. I’m not going to issue a buyer beware, even if mine was broken and I couldn’t turn off the steering wheel and seat heater. I would take it in for service.
It is one thing to ask a question on the forum about a perceived problem or start a thread with a title specifying the problem, but to go all chicken little and start a thread saying “buyer beware!” Like your Gladiator will blow up if you attempt a greater than 10% grade is just irresponsible. That is my point.
Oh, and who did I attack?
