Sports S or Willys? Only a $10 difference in payment with a Sport S or Willys. Same options pretty much except the Willys package and everything it offers has an msrp of $2,000 more overall. Is it worth it to get the Willys? I don’t really need any of the stuff it offers I don’t think - anti-spin, beefier shocks, etc. Am I missing something here that would tell me to go Willys? 2K just bumps the excise tax in my state and the residual too. I’m leaning sport S because I’m going to put Rubicon take-offs on right away anyway. If I went Willys I’d replace just the tires and keep the black rims. Let me know what you all think of which to grab! Thanks!

Same color for both models?
Identical options aside from the Willys package?

Its worth it if your going to keep the extra stuff.. Knowing that everything extra from a Willy's would already be long gone from mine I wouldnt bother.

Limited slip is good except for ice. Good for snow, especially deeper snow (but then the electronics really take care of that part anyway). It's good on wet roads. And it's good for the dragstrip.
Limited slip simply prevents one rear wheel from spinning faster than the other if the one loses traction - it limits slippage of one wheel. However, in today's world of all of the electronic controls, it's not as big a deal as it was 20 years ago.
I get it, and I like it, and I have it under my 73 Javelin, had it under the rear of my Silverado 4x4, and have had it in several of my other cars. About the only time it's a disadvantage is on ice (and before others argue about that - I have scientific proof and a demonstration in the form of a PM article where they tested that theory and the reason for it)

Red sport S, but all black Willys. Same options though except for Willys package yes.
On color alone, I'd select red.
Given you don't need the limited slip and you already have plans for putting Rubicon take off wheels and tires on your JT I don't see any point in you getting the Willys.
I have a Willys because it was the best deal for me. It came down to an MSRP $50,415 Willys being discounted $10,000 or a $47,500 Sport S being discounted $4,500. I chose Willys because I got more Jeep with more options for less than the Sport S.

Go red! But 10 a month is worth it for the limited slip. I personally don’t care for a black Willys because it takes away from all the black accents besides the black wheels.

$10/month for how many months just for something that electronics will do now?
No more often than the physical limited slip would actually be of real help, it's iffy, IMO.
If there are other advantages besides the LSD - but I can't see making that the primary part of the decision unless it's going to be meant for mostly off-road use. On the road, LSD won't have that much impact.

Thanks! I think I agree with you! Just need to find some take-offs now! The LSD isn’t a huge deal. I’ll be mostly on-road. Don’t need the rock sliders.
