Not for my wife - but that's sort of cool. If I didn't already have my JT....................that's really neat!
The majority of my dealer‘s Jeeps are black. Was there for the seatbelt recall and was talking with the sales guy about just that, when 2 more Freedom JT’s were delivered. One red, one white. Had to laugh.

Jeep’s web site says in stock at Benson Chrysler Dodge Jeep. The Jeep site is acting weird. Lists two 392’s as well.

So I didn’t notice this until I found the Benson web site https://www.bensonchryslerdodgejeep...Greer-SC-b07542780a0e081d1f8c169e40126501.htm but it is a 2.0l not a 3.6.
Yet another one with that $4,200 power top. If it had the Selec-trac and advance safety group instead of that top (that neither of us wants), it would be a contender. The other stuff is a lot more important than a fancy roof we'd never use. .

Looking at Sahara and higher because they will automatically have the 8.4 and most likely passive entry for the tailgate along with the front doors.
We both looked at vehicles with the smaller screens when I was buying and both said no way - not with my vision and our ages. Big screen.
We've both had Jeeps with the 8.4 for years now, there's no going back.
I figure if I go Sahara or up, I don't have to also specify a bunch more stuff in the list because they'll just be there. Otherwise, I'd have to expand the list a bit more.

Now as to that specific Jeep - it's pretty danged close. But I'd have to figure in radio upgrade and adding passive entry to the tail. (I know the roof can be painted, already checked into that.

Frankly, I'm looking at every one of the almost 200 "matches" that come up because I've found more than one Rubicon that was there except for being diesel (and one other tiny thing we could overcome)
If it's correctly equipped, I'm open to adding what can be added like leather if it's cloth, that sort of thing.
I dont think the Sahara actually has something different for the back/tailgate with the proximity locks.
Here is a Sport S with the Tech Package (w/Front Door Passive Entry and Lock). You can see the proximity button on the handle. It has it on the back/tailgate too.
I believe that statement was to stop confusion about the rear passenger doors not having it.

I wonder what you could sell the power top for and if it would be a tough sale or not?

Or if you could trade the power top for a hard top with money on their end.

Kind of risky with it being so expensive.

If I find one that's pretty close, except for the roof and maybe the radio, I'd see if they'd take the roof back and put in an 8.4 and a hard top.
But the radio is a tough thing since the VIN would forever be incorrect and there'd be hoops to jump for the off road pages and other stuff people here fight when they upgrade "radios".
The transfer case and safety groups are pretty much stuck since it's a pain to deal with those and a dealer would laugh if you even asked them about it. And they'd be right. Why should they work hard to swap parts when they can leave it as is and sell it as is.
I'd hate to risk even messing with that power roof thing - I'd likely be sitting on it, no place to put it, stuck.
If it was a matter of a soft top - no problem, those would sell.

She asked again "have you found me a purple Jeep yet" and then when I asked - depends on equipment - she said "all the bells and whistles" so the Selec-trac and both safety groups are an absolute must.
I don't think the 4xe would be a hard sell, though.

I’ve never really delved into it but based on a friend’s MOAB it doesn’t look like a plug and play opportunity for either removing it or installing it on another Wrangler. I agree with @ShadowsPapa that taking that risk would be unwise. On the other hand, my friend’s MOAB was really cool with the top (though I have a much warmer environment around here).

I think you’re just going to have to get the 392. Problem solved.
And then trade engines with a JT owner who wants to replace their 3.6 with a 392.

Only if you cover the swap labor.
Naw, if they want the engine that bad, they pay their engine, some cash, and do the swap.

I’ve only seen one up close and I didn’t check it out very thoroughly. It does seem like a cool concept. But if it doesn’t lift off like a normal hard top with an extra plug, I wouldn’t want it.

My wife asked if I had heard back from my sales guy yet. Nope, and I don't expect to. About all they can do is search within a certain radius and then only work with dealers they already work with, etc. She said "tell him I'll give him 200 cash if he finds me one".
I wonder if that applies to me? LOL

I've found something interesting -
All Sahara 4xe's come with the full time transfer case. every single one (dozens of them!) I checked out in various places had that under STANDARD equipment. So the 4xe comes with that.
However, I have not yet found a 4xe Sahara with advance safety group.
That's ok, though, we're not aiming for the 4xe, it was just a curious observation - Selec-Trac is standard on them. But no dealer has them with advance safety group, etc.
I plugged in dozens of VINs and found that although the photos of the Jeeps on their lot may show the body color hard top, the VIN says no, it's got the 4 grand power roof.
I see that they are still sort of coming in as a couple on the Jeep e-shop site say "in transit" so although I've pretty much given up hope - not quite there yet.
There's a lot of them out there that don't show up on the Jeep site at all. A couple of them are local (but not matches at all) so that apparently is only the vehicles the dealership bought for themselves, those refused don't make the e-shop listing as they are assumed sold.
