Look at Chevy advertising "factory lifted trucks". Would they have done that in the past? The other companies must have figured this fad would have died by now - oops, no, it's not, and Jeep is still going strong - time to get a part of that action.

Why would the solid front axle be lost?
I'm thinking that CAFE standards (weight) or the intention to water down the exceptional jeep handling for broader appeal might cull the SFA. But, I guess if there is one thing true about the brand, Jeep knows what it's people like and does a lot to satisfy them. I'd hate to lose that distinction (sfa).

What led Ford, Toyota etc to drop the solid front on their midsized trucks? The tacoma forums have plenty of complaints about the IFS limiting lift and wheels.

Likely to broaden market appeal - sell to executives and woman, etc. who want a smoother ride, better street manners and quieter cabin.

I bought the gladiator and haven’t even had the tops off yet. I have had it almost a year now, I’ve got to do it soon as the temps get off a 100 plus. I like the Jeep because it looks like a Jeep not some space ship looking thing. My neighbor bought a 23 Colorado . Not something I would want !! I get better MPG then he does, lol !! I trueLy believe
if Jeep gets to far off from its heritage with the look all the others are going for , it will loose. A little Refinement, dependability and better power is all they need. I worked for Ford For 23 plus years and got over 30 Brand new F-150 Lariat pickups. I actually got to order them the way I wanted with all the options unlimited. I even custom painted a few. Even got the gas free. I love my Jeep Gladiator and that’s my story and I am sticking to it for now ?

Absolutely agree. I had put a deposit on the Tesla cyber truck before ordering the Jeep. Fads and novelties wear off. Jeep will still look good 10 plus years from now. Might still get the cyber truck if it ever goes into production lol. It'd be a fun around town ride.

Cue the gladiator is going to be cancelled speculation...

Also how the hell did the Durango become so popular suddenly?

Lastly, according to the numbers, the 4xe is just short of being half of all q2 sales for wrangler. It sold 14.5K or so in Q1, now in Q2 with a 56% increase that means it sold 22.5K of the 46K wranglers sold. Even with numbers down I'm sure thats helping get the transaction prices up. Can't imagine jeep isnt just dying to bring the first real phev truck to market to grab share there like the wrangler has.
I built a 2022 JTR that I got for $53,000, pretty well loaded (MT). The same build now is $63,000. Might be the major factor in the decrease in Gladiator sales. A loaded 2023 TRDPro is about $53,000.

But that Toyota has no discounts and instead markups, the gladiator can be had for 10k less than MSRP pretty readily. This isn't COVID shortage time, no one should be paying close to MSRP for a gladiator anymore.

My 2021 fully loaded jtr was sticker 59, it's now 63.5k for the same one, the less optioned trims have gone up as more options are forced but at the top the price really hasn't gone too crazy

Yeah, mine was ticketed at 56,000 and I got it for 53,000. We'll see what happens to the 2025s when I would be interested, especially if they build a 4XE.

My wife and I were talking to someone and she mentioned I had already traded my 2020 JT for a '22 - almost identical. She said that would be the last one for a long time.
I agreed, but in my mind, fingers crossed as if it comes in a 4xe with the same payload and towing as what I have, all bets are off.

I'm in the same boat. I will give up my MT for a 4XE. Our Rav4 Prime is great with our 6/3 kW solar.

I switched from a '18 TRDPro to a JTR partly because of the lift capabilities. I only have 2" lift with 35s, but it's way beyond what a TRDPro can do on 31s.
