It worked fine. I was only, however, going across town not driving over 30 mph. I didn't even strap it in. Obviously high speeds are a different story.

I did on top of mine hooked onto the diamondback HD cover. Worked fine for me even at 60ish MPH. It was bigger than the cover, so I am guessing it won't really fit in the bed that well.

Not in my Gladiator. I moved a king set in my old long bed superduty. I put a few 2x4s across the bed rails and put the mattress and box spring on top of that. Carried them nice and flat that way. Used 3 ratchet straps that went over then under the bed to the frame rails. Covered both mattress and spring in a cheap vinyl zip cover from Walmart. Transported them 200+ miles at 70mph to my mothers house. It worked out very well. No reason a queen on the JT wouldn’t work out just as well.

I carried a box spring and Queen mattress to the dump. I strapped both in place and kept speeds under 45 mph with the gate down. I traveled across town and not on the freeway. Jeep is lifted 4.5" with 38's.

This sounds logical.

I used to own an F150 FX4 Supercrew. Two years ago, I made three trips to the dump in my JLU with a sectional sofa (sections) strapped to the top….I decided that day I needed a JT. 😎

Its not rocket surgery. Leave the gate down. Put it in diagonally so one side of the mattress is on the floor of the bed on one side and the other side is on the top of the bed rail.

Use ratcheting straps to pull it snug.
