Friend picked up a take off with the needed ancillary parts, but here’s the question.

Do the back of the fog lights stay exposed or is there a plate or something covering up the back like the plastic bumper?

Thanks.

And for what it’s worth, my aftermarket warn bumper has the rears exposed. I initially didn’t care for it, but I’ve never had a single issue. It’s not really a spot where rocks would fly. And it’s kind of nice for cleaning.

There won't be any issues - the lights are sealed, the connections are sealed.
The wheels actually line up more with the extensions, not the lights so much.

I bought some close-outs from @Commanodjk13 here on the forum. They are acrylic (or ABS?) and fit great. Hopefully he'll respond here since I tagged him. I have been really happy with them so far, they just make it "clean" when running the stubby option.

I did that. The dealer thought it was great. Someone on here makes them.
Surprised they didn't also tell you that it voids your warranty or something.

Usually the the common theme, lol.

I could have done it myself, but had them install the Mopar lift, then they told me that it voided the warranty on that part of the suspension. Jeep Cares disagreed. They are now a bit gun shy on that issue. I added adjustable track bar, winch, skid plates and they don’t mention it now. I’ll never buy another vehicle from them nor will my family.

MOPAR parts carry a 2 year warranty. If they are installed on a MOPAR vehicle that has 1 year warranty left, the parts still have a 2 year warranty unlimited miles.
If they are installed on a MOPAR vehicle that has 3 years of warranty - then the new parts inherit that 3 years warranty.
This is spelled out right in the warranty of the parts.
My local dealer even explained it to me. If a spring breaks, or something goes wrong with the lift kit parts - it's either 2 years or the warranty of the truck, which ever is longer.
The dealership warrants the installation in most cases but the parts warranty also carries a $150 labor provision if installed by a professional.
You lose nothing as far as warranty.

Jeep explained that to them, but they already knew that of course. They are just dicks, since in New Mexico there are few Jeep dealers. This came up originally when I asked about installing the Dana 4.88 gears purchased off the Jeep Performance web site. They said the same tired thing.

No kidding - they are being total jerks.
I asked a local dealer about regearing my 2020 - the response was "if we do it, it will have the same warranty as the truck", etc. - the guy almost quoted that warranty card word-for-word.

I don't get it. Doesn't the dealer get reimbursed for warranty work? Just lazy I guess.
