I'm installing a takeoff Rubicon suspension on my Sport S and am wanting to do everything I need to all at once. I toyed with the idea of using the 1" puck from the Teraflex leveling kit prior to buying the Rubi setup. Now that I've bought that, I've been looking at pictures and reading quite a bit. I read on this site that the Rubi front sits about 1/4" higher, ie, less rake than a Sport. Not sure if I want to mess with the leveling kit, as I don't mind some rake, but the stock Sport is just a bit too much for my taste. Or maybe just throw in the .5" puck from the Teraflex with the Rubi and call it good...Any opinions are appreciated!

Nobody has input on this? I've read where some folks are just putting the Rubicon springs up front and keeping the rear springs stock. Won't this "upset" the ride - or would it be just fine for regular driving?

I've been trying to research this myself, not a lot of info I can find for the JT. If ours are like the JL then what I've read, a lot depends on how the truck was spec'd from the factory i.e. if the rubi had a hard top, tow, and metal bumpers vs. Your sport with a soft top no tow and plastic bumpers would achieve the most lift. Obviously? the opposite should apply, plastic no tow soft top rubi vs. Hard top tow Sport.. so whether you're eliminating or exacerbating the rake should depend on the the specs of the trucks..
*not an expert opinion, just what I'm seeing in the forums..

I would also like advice on this exact same question as I have the same lift and rubicon takeoff suspension.

I had the Rubicon suspension before I installed my RK lift. My front bumper and winch are very heavy and I used the Daystar 1.5" leveling kit and it was just about perfectly level. If you don't have a heavy bumper and winch like I do, it will probably take a 3/4" or 1" spacer in the front to get it level with the Rubi springs and shocks.

I installed the Rubi take-off suspension and it did lift the rear about an 1/8th of an inch more than the front. All said and done it lifted the front 1 1/8th inch and the back 1 1/4th inch. But I cant even relate to you how much better the truck rides. If it didn't lift the truck at all the swap would worth it

I totally agree that it did ride much better than the stock Sport. I think it was a little on the soft side when stock and the Rubicon suspension took care of that.

Did the rear lift more than the front? How much gain did you get?

lifted both ends the same. I didn’t measure it but I’d say it was a good inch taller with the Rubicon springs and shocks
