Anyone know the purpose of this?
Get in the truck
Put on seat belt
Take off right flip flop
Put foot on brake pedal
Push start button

Jeep starts and ~ 15 seconds later I hear a "diiiinnng".
No warning lights or CEL etc.
Reminds me too much of my wife's old Honda that would ding a lot even when you open the door for what ever reason. Seems like a ding without a purpose.

Did you setup any favorite artists on your Sirius? If a favorite artist is playing the radio will make a similar noise and display a little flag and Favorite Artist on the upper left side of the display.

No, I haven't. Even happens with the screen off. I thought it might be something to do with the "accept" button on the Unav, so I shut it off. No joy. Thanks for the suggestion.

No need to select "accept." Take a video.

My video is too large. Trying an editor to reduce it. Someone have a place to host it?

The jeep does that on startup to let you know it’s started. It’s works that we because of remote start where it’s on but it’s not on it’s just an audio clue

No remote start. Thanks for the insight.
I'm just going to chalk it up as "Jeep is ready to rock"' Sadly I'm not rockin' every time I'm getting in.
It's not my DD, but I drive it a lot more than I thought I would just 'cause I fricken love this thing. Anyway, if someone figures it out it would be cool to know. Thanks for playing!!

I get that too in my Wrangler. Yet to figure it out.

In the owners manual under oil life reset it states that a single chime has sounded to indicate the next oil change interval. Page 116. It further goes on to state how to reset it and specifically says not to touch the brake pedal. Could it possibly be this? Have you tried resetting it?

Still at 55% on the life of the oil. Thanks for your insight, I will definitely pay attention to this in the future.

This Ding means you have a permanent logged ECM error. The error os most likely no longer present if the engine light is off. These errors generally happen when something happens while the jeep is being flashed, and it has to stop or be reflashed again. Not sure of the dealer can clear it or not. I have not been successful with HP Tuners, but I can see the permanent error with that software.

Interesting...
Mine used to start right up with no extraneous noises. The last few weeks I get a single DING right after I start it. I was supposed to take it in for the dealer to look at it, but they screwed up my appointment...
