Anyone know what and where this goes?

Did a tie rod and draglink swap (with tires off) and as I was pickup tools I had piled on my creeper this little guy showed up to the party.

I don't recall removing him or even picking him up to put on my creeper. For the life of me i can't figure out if he is a jeep part or not. He fairly clean and not rusty...

Not sure if it got knocked loose when I was hitting the knuckles with a hammer to shock the tie rod ends loose.

It's a bracket that holds a hose or wiring loom in place somewhere inside the engine compartment.

maybe, i am going to poke around the LCA's and brake area and see if i see anything, i have some faint memory of seeing this guys months ago when i did something i can't remember.

Doesn't look like an automotive part to me. The general look of it looks familiar but I can't quite place it; kind of akin to having a word or name at the tip of your tongue but you can't quite get it out. Maybe a draw/slider stop on a toolbox or part of the creeper (press down on the tab to let the draw slide the rest of the way out)? I think I've seen wire/cable holders kind of like that but the metal on the tab is thinner so it can be bent to keep the wire in place. The tab in the photo looks strong and springy.

You definitely have to post what it is when you find out.

Just spent a 1/2 on my back staring at stuff with no luck, also looked a parts fiches for areas i have done work on, no luck.

I guess i'll just have to wait and see if the missing part makes it's self known.
