Using pics I found online to identify between the M200 and M220 rear end, mine matches up to the M200, which the owner's manual states uses 75W-150. Looking at my window sticker I see there is the Trac-Lok option that was bought. When you read the Owner's Manual it only mentioned Trac-Lok with the M220 though. Im tryting to buy the correct oil for what I have. Can anyone help? Can you get a M200 with Trac-Lok? Do I get 75W-85 or 75W-140?

Thank you in advance. (my first Jeep)
Steve

Looks like a M220 to me. But just to be sure. Do you have the full sale sheet or build sheet for your truck? Or a vin so we can check ourselves?

I don't see the flat protrusion on the rear cover under the plug which is why I assumed it's a M200. All I have is the window sticker and VIN: 1C6HJTFG0LL107503. Thank you!!

Mopar website VIN decoder confirms yours as a M220 w/ Trac-Lok. Pretty sure all Gladiators are M220 standar but ya never know. Remember to get Mopar specific friction modifier when doing your diff oil change. the factory Trak-Loc doesn't play well with just standard additives found in off the self LSD synthetic oild like Valvoline.

Someone said put full bottle of friction modifier in. That's 4 ounces. This chart calls for 2.4 ounces when converted from .15 Pints. Will a full bottle hurt it?
That chart is for JLs not JTs. also aftermarket Dana not OE Dana. I wouldn't recommend following that. But it probably wouldn't hurt if you did. These axles are very robust.

Thats for a JL sir. and Dana aftermarket, not OE Dana. There could be some key differences between the two.
The right column is a factory Dana 44, left column is UD44. Notice the fluid is the same for both. Regardless of JL or JT the Dana 44 is the same other than the mounts for springs and control arms.

Ok thank you. I will get 75W-140 and friction modifier for the rear. I was planning on using Mopar anyway as get a discount at dealer. I'll put 75W-85 in the front like the Owner's Manual calls for. Should be correct right? can you send me a link to where you went to get that information?

Pretty sure both are ADVANTek and both have no FAD. Which explains thicker oil. The Dana part doesn't match the MOPAR either.

I have both a JL and a JT. I am not going to argue with you about what I know. My information came from an engineer. I was providing insight. You could always contact Dana and get the same information I just provided.
