Rear ended.....

Rear ended last friday. Luckily the steel rubi rear bumper didn't budge. Car slide under the bumper and the hitch tore through the hood and AC condenser. Nothing but some scratches on my bumper. Given the price of a replacement rear JTR bumper, was thinking about going aftermarket. I don't see many options to keep the factory tow hooks and my oracle back up lights.

What are you guys running for rear bumpers? The heavier duty the better since people obviously can't stay off their damned phones here.

Rear ended in my JK bout 8 years ago by an Infinity and he definitely saw the raw end of the deal when it came to being on his phone. Best of it all he was 26-27 years old and had to call his dad to figure out what to do! Just the beginning of the millennial- Gen Z population! All i could say was “ Wow!” Doesn’t matter you were on your phone so cha Ching! Anyway I just bought a pull off bumper for $150- $200 and the insurance company cut me a check for $1300 !

No damage other than some scratches to the rear bumper. I don't want to submit anything since there's no damage other than cosmetic. Truck is not driven too much and of course the week I drive it I get rear ended. People suck.

Mine was pretty much cosmetic! I had convince the progressive rep that the damage was beyond his assessment and he finally agreed…..just get on Craigslist and someone will have a factory replacement for a few hundred dollars! Unless of course you are stuck in the Jeep Twilight Zone……and endlessly wanting to spend money on upgrades!!!!! lol

Make the A- hole who hit you make it right. I would want the body shop to check for frame and rear suspention damage you could have missed. It happened to me a few years ago, Guy's insurance co, paid for everything. 2012 Jeep Liberty, rear bumper,and a new hitch.

here in Florida, it's all you ever see, it's a blood pressure issue for me, makes me crazy, stop looking down, stop hitting your brakes, people think their sly, but everyone knows what your doing!!!!

I rear ended myself. Had had a few drinks and had to return my utility trailer to the front driveway, by the time I'd pulled out of the side driveway I had completely forgotten about the trailer and what I was doing. Seems like I could be President at that moment. Anyway, backed up and jack knifed the trailer. Cracked the passenger tail light and put some scratches/ I mean mods on my bumper.

I have the same requirements. Rock slide engineering’s rear JT bumper accepts the factory reflector or oracle lights. It’s the only one on my list.

Where did you get that rear bumper? My MOPAR steel bumper looks nothing like yours.

I think I order it from the mopar site even says Jeep on the sides. I wanted something that I could easily add backup lights I have four of them on this bumper

There's nothing but some scratches to the rear bumper. I was already moving into the 4 way stop so I was not at a hard stop when she made contact. I would rather not have a damage claim on the truck and just either Raptor Line my current steel bumper or go aftermarket

I see a similar bumper as yours for a JK Wrangler but it doesn't have the cutouts for the lights. I'm looking for Mopar, not cheap chinese knockoff.
