Rear seat narrower than JL?

Is it just me or do the rear seats on the Gladiator seam narrower than on the Wrangler JL? I need to fit three back there.

I sat in one at Detroit. Once you got in there was plenty of room. Like the JLU getting through the back door was a bit tight.

Width is the same for both.

Main difference I have found is the "JT" seat folds up to access the floor space or a cargo box. Nicely done.

E.g. You know how the 2-door JL seats 2 people in the back? It is also the same width on the outside.

I noticed the rear seats on the JT are more bucket like while the rear seats in the JL are more flat. Making the center seat in the back narrower. Could be perception... not sure.

The rears would not be interchangeable with the JL, but the JL is the same interior width. The JL seats fold forward differently than the JT.

The 2-door Wranglers only seat 2 because of the wheelbase being shorter, and the wheelwells being beside the rear passengers rather than behind.

The JT lower seat folds up as well. The JL bottom seat is secured to the floorboard.

Yeah I was going to go there. If you got a leather JLU seat from the junkyard, you'd be able to drill it to attach. But there goes safety and the stadium deal, and the long box. I do have to check out the JT rear seat attachment. How's it hangin, taken to a whole new level. What weight rating must it have?

Are there lots of junkyards with JLU seats? Seems rare.
