If you have the Aux switches, there's a hot wire in the Aux bundle under the dash on the passenger side.
Sorry to revive an old thread, cant find much info and looking to hardwire a detector with no power mirror. What about getting power from the SOS button, assist button, passenger airbag light harness above the mirror?

I would not expect those to be carrying anything usable for what you want. Get one of the taps that connects to the back of the 12v power port in the dash.

I tried to use the power tap method but, it didn't work to make contact with the pins the power taps pins were not long enough.
Decided to use the traditional 12v power adapter. If you go this route not only will you provide power to your detector but also have power for a dash camera if you need. Link below to the product I used.

So none of the wire tap kits will work for the powered mirror with the acc?

That was my experience.
I had 2 different sets of pins. I think the way that would be most successful would be to disassemble the back of connector to the mirror, and try it like that, then reassemble. But the 12v tap harness I linked to is the best way if you ask me. Better power distribution, and now you can also hook up a dash cam if you like.

Oh yeah, on the power taps I actually soldered some .020 safety wire onto the pins it kinda worked just not reliable doing the power tap through that plug is a Looong way to those mirror pins
