The rear bumper you made for the JL in the video is beautiful! I believe the styling is perfect! If it were my bumper you were building, I would want you to make the sides wrap further around towards the rear wheels for rock protection, incorporate a step, add a couple Hi-Lift points and have the sensor compatibility. You could also have a couple optional models with or without swing out tire carriers. Dual swing out or single swing options on a retrofit bumper? People love options! Lol! I truly believe your style is great and I wouldn't change that at all from the JL bumper. I would just add to an already great design. Thank you for your information and your time. I look forward to seeing what more you have to offer for the JT in the future.
Yes swing out tire carrier would be sweet.

Agreed, but with the ability to remove the carrier when not needed. A 37+ tire hanging off the back of an already long JT looks funny unless you have a topper or rack on the bed. I plan to DD mine, but only run a bed rack when camp-...pardon me..."overlanding". The spare can either be underneath or in the bed the rest of the time.

A removable swing out tire carrier would be a nice option. Just remove the carrier when not in use and fill the hole in the bumper with the optional threaded plug that screws down flush with the top of the bumper? That would be slick!

Heading to Alabama Hills this weekend with all three Gladiators. Need to get some camping wheeling in. Lots and lots of photos will be taken. And I'll grab video as well. You can always follow along on IG as I'll be posting to Stories a bunch.

you read my mind @jurfie! i agree with all you said, but i'm going to run a topper/canoppy thing 24/7 eventually! i believe the EVO rear bumper tire carrier is removable as well.

maybe my brain isn't working, but i thought the height from top of bed to top of cab is about 22". I count 19 slots tall, that would be 19".......the slots look more like 1/2" tall. Can you double check or point out my folly?

Check out this awesome in depth build video from Driving Line of Taylor Blagdon Jeep Gladiator (Iron Man JT).

Back from SEMA, DesertChief (Matt Moghaddam) heads down to Laguna Hills, CA to Rebel Off Road to meet with Taylor Blagdon for an in-depth look at his all-new Jeep Gladiator build. This overland-geared Gladiator is Taylor’s new escape rig, built to get away from the city with comfort and ease, while still having the crawler chops to take on iconic trails like the Rubicon

Installed Race Radios in both of our Gladiators in the glove box. The mic is run through the center counsel and comes out of the center storage box. Can be tucked away when not in use.

Photos from our recent weekend trip up to Alabama Hills and Kern River.

We headed up on a Friday and spent the evening in Alabama Hills. The next morning I woke up around 5am to grab photos of the three Jeeps as the sun crested over the mountains. After breakfast we headed up Whitney Portal and took a drive up into the snow. which we caught some epic views of the snow capped mountains.

The three of us decided to head south and make our way over to Kern River to make a pit stop at Kern River Brewing for lunch. We were lucky enough to find a road that led up the side of the mountain which allowed us to camp away from the main road for a quiet evening.

The following morning we headed up into the Sequoias and found a fire road that took us through some beautiful back roads covered in mud and snow. The three JTs took this opportunity to test out the handling of the Maxxis RAZR and Nitto Trail Grappler tires in wet/snow conditions. I was really impressed with how well the RAZR gripped in the corners while traversing in the snow.

As our first camping trip with the three Gladiators fully outfitted with tents, Pelican cases and our XPLOR Racks, we were able to test out how the Gladiators handled the extra weight on both the half and full height racks under our driving style. It also gave us the opportunity to brainstorm on more accessories for us to offer for both racks.

I'll break up the photos into several posts as I have a bunch located on my phone.

Just curious, up to this point in the build with 37’s, were you still on the original Overland axles/gears? Thanks
Yes we were.
