My Dealership just contacted me, saying they have the parts and want to send a tech to my house to do the repair this Friday 7/17. I said OK, we will see 👀.
WOW! Your dealership does house calls? That’s crazy!

Trying to buy at end of lease here. Leasing company won't sell me the Jeep until the recall is satisfied. Hoping the initial inspection goes my way and doesn't require parts. Encouraged that some are seeing parts available.

I used the TSB posted here to do the inspection myself. It takes all of 10 minutes and saves a trip to the dealer. My jeep checked out and doesn't need the repair and now I don't have to worry about the fire risk.

I must have the old version TSB. I didn't see any inspection criteria to satisfy the recall.
Is thier a newer version out?

Just out of curiosity did you
Remove the plugs and do a dimensional check? Or is it just a visual? Did you do a resistance check and check for any pending codes?
Just curious

I went into the dealer for an oil change just now and was told that they would like to do an inspection to see if I needed a power steering pump replacement under this recall notice. I'm waiting for the verdict......

I used the TSB posted here: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/...-risk-june-9-2026.108998/page-26#post-1770470

I checked for codes first, pulled the air box, the connector was fully seated, wiggled it to make sure, and the wires coming out of the connector looked good as well. The TSB has lots of good pictures. Based on those criteria, there is no further action required.
Thanks Rossicon, I have not seen that procedure. I inspected mine about 2 weeks ago I saw nothing wrong, no DTCs, no melted connectors, no discolored wires, connectors seated. I will definetly have the stealer ships sign off on at a later date but will definetly keep an eye on it. 23 Mojave built 12/23

Supposedly I'm good. No problems after their inspection.

Vlad the Glad checked-out all good this morning. They directed me into the express lane and I was done in 45 minutes with a full inspection and paperwork for Vlad's file. Every service visit should be this nice.

I called my dealer today. They told me that they are not doing anything with the recall until the 3rd quarter because they can't get parts until then.
