One guy here wanted one so badly and had to have it that week, the dealership had one trucked up from KC.
Maybe not for you - but you'd be amazed at who drives them.

I actually told him "I know it's not your fault, but this is nuts. I can configure a vehicle to my liking on the Jeep website. The salesman (or myself in this case) can configure a vehicle to my liking via their order guide. But when he goes to order it, Something is not available. I also mentioned the bizarre hardtop/transmission issue you ran into on the X.
Why TF should the engine size or transmission tyle dictate primary or secondary paint colors?

Update. My salesman called and said he can now order the JLU exactly like I spec'ed. So the wife is getting (another) new Wrangler. In related news, the trade-in value on her 2025 has INCREASED anther $1000. Go figure.

I wonder if they will change stuff around enough so we don't have to deal with the unwanted BS that makes it taller - and overkill for her.

That's part of the reason we went with the Sport S. Every model on up is taller. But she doesn't need some of the options your wife does.

Order tracker says it hasn't shipped yet. Dealer called yesterday to say it was just delivered to them, they just need a day or 2 for the prep. Spent all afternoon removing stuff on the outside. Today I'll work on interior. And of course, I just filled the gas tank for her, and when I was moving Jeeps around to work on hers the "change oil" msg came up. Heh.

Hey Chris, great colour! This post reminded me of my neighbour that bought his Wrangler 4xe a couple years ago. He told me his story that sounded like yours. His came in and he was notified that it arrived and they needed a day or two to clean it up and prep it for him and he told them “DONT TOUCH IT”. “You wipe one finger print off, pull one tape or remove the plastic wrapping on the outside and inside and the deal is canceled.”

The sales man said, come get it then.

My neighbour got there and opened the back to see that the soft top was there, he took it out and then told them to get it prepped for him and would come back in a couple days for it. He told me the sales guy stood shocked that my he knew about the soft top and he told him we would have taken that out and sold it at the Parts department!
