Hi all, I’m seeking advice. I recently ordered the updated Mopar 2 inch lift kit with Bilstein shocks with oil reservoirs from northridge4x4 but up receiving the old version with the Fox shocks. I specifically ordered the Bilstein set due to recommendations from friends. I passed up on some cheaper prices / black Friday deals to ensure it was the updated kit. When it arrived I checked the order confirmation and invoice to make sure it had the proper item. Checked the the crate and dropped it off at the installer. After it was installed, I learned that I received the old version. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do?

Good to see northridge reaching out.... they were an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to deal with when I ordered shocks from them last spring.

Leave it and enjoy it, the Fox shocks are awesome. We have five Gladiators in Jeep tour service with the 2" Mopar lifts and Fox resis. They've held up incredibly well. Daily they are carrying full loads of our guests (up to nine passenger + driver) and the seating cages we had made for them. I'm frankly sorry they ended their deal with Fox. I'm not a fan of Bilsteins, already reports of them leaking in the shipping boxes.

I like hearing your report on the Mopar lift kit. Do Youse guys run the stock front track bar? Do you run the stock steering components? TIA

Yes to both. We had the local dealer install all five, with mixed results where the front sway bar links are concerned. I'm not sure how that can get screwed up, but we had front link fails on two of the JTs. In one case they had been installed on the wrong side of the sway bar arms and and axle tabs and one snapped off at the sway bar. In another case the link stud just snapped off. We couldn't find the part within the Mopar system (read on), they were on on intergalactic backorder, so we tried using aftermarket links. Icon's links failed in about 1,000 miles. I replaced them with Synergy links, they failed even sooner. I finally found two sets of the Mopar links, installed them correctly at the spec. torque values and all has been good.

The hole in the sway bar is 14mm (9/16s more likely), the mounting studs on the original links were 12mm. The studs broke off at the sway bar end. I'm figuring the dealer's tech just ran the nuts down with an impact wrench and rolled the JTs off his lift, so some of them were torqued at or above spec and the other two were either too loose or torqued down so tight it fractured the stud. Whatever, the replacements had 14mm studs at the sway bar mount. I had to source some stover nuts in metric to make it all go.

So, that's been it to date. We got the Gladiators (Sports with the Max Tow pkg) from the dealer about 5 months before we put them into tour service and used them as dailys, etc. All I did was swap out the original tires for Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 285/70 R17 (33s). They drove great and ride quality was and still is excellent. Everybody loves them, the guides and the guests.

Late update, but I just remembered I posted here. Northridge 4x4 was great with their customer service. They helped me get everything sorted out. The shocks were on back order for a bit, but they kept up with frequent communication with updates. I now have the Bilstein shocks on and I'm really happy with them.
