Thanks; however, I’m looking for anyone who has experience with the remote oil filter system by Baxter, not the one where the oil filter is mounted upside down. Having a remote oil filter with the oil filter mounted with the opening right side up seems like it would be a better option…

The filter is mounted upside down on the Baxter…… it screws down onto the fitting and you use an air compressor to force oil out of the filter prior to changing.

No experience with it but, if you have a need for relocating the filter and changing to a canister filter, this is likely the only thing you'll find. Review on the website states you still need to get hoses (need to make sure to get a proper type).

No experience with it i like the idea of the remote filter if you can mount it so it screws in from below and is in an accessible place but still protected. I had a few engines with remote filters and coolers the only real downside is the hoses using either clamps or AN style fittings if they move around over time or maybe due to the disturbance of the flow they weaken near the fitting so they become another item to check and potentially replace. For the price and with a set location for mounting it seems shortsighted for them to not include premade hoses or premade hard lines to complete the installation.
I can see both sides of the dry start thing personally never was a supporter of spinning over a fresh engine until it gets oil pressure when you lube it all assembling it and oil pressure is almost instantly everywhere on start up. It seems similar when starting an engine from cold unless it has sat for an extended length of time there is a layer of oil everywhere it needs to be and should do the job momentarily until the pump gets the oil through. An oil accumulator that holds pressurized oil to supplement until the pump works may be more useful if the fear is the thought of a dry start the only consideration does the potential wear over time make it worth the extra cost for the accumulator and adding the extra oil at every fluid change.
