Thanks again. I’m 74 now and they sure aren’t built like they used to be. lol.
Mine did that until I got new batteries from Autozone. I charged them fully myself before installing, they were at 70% when I got them home. I haven't had the issue since.

Thanks. I’ll try that after the storms this weekend.

It’s the same with both fobs. I tied that.

Yeah, but what are you pushing, 5 to 6 years by now on those original FOB batteries?

Maybe it is not the FOB batteries, but it would be worth the $5 or so to put a fresh one in to 100% rule it out.

One of the fobs is not quite 2 years old.

Just went through this with my 21 w/65k miles (original batteries) starting in December.

At first I replaced the key fob battery, as it wouldn't unlock/remote start when the fob was cold. Replaced the fob battery, and was all good for a while.

January it would sometimes remote start. I charged up the battery and worked, but a day later it wouldn't for the first remote start. I disabled the AUX battery (fuse, ground and setting in Stinger Heigh10) charged the battery again and worked. I'm usually out of town during the week, so the JT sits. Remote start didn't work.

My main battery was the small 600cca, an I got a larger H7 850cca. I removed the old battery, charged the new in the house before installing. Installed, and disconnected the IBS for about an hour. This worked fine.

The JT sat for 2 weeks out in the NE Ohio cold. When I got back into town, first thing I tried was the remote start. Worked fine. so far so good.

Happened to me on my '21 JTR. New batteries fixed that. For the auxiliary, just go through the top under the main batt and fuse box. It's simple and does not require to remove a heavy tire and new plastic rivets. FYI, the positive terminal on the main batt has a retainer that will break when you remove the terminal. Just toss it. I say this in case you can't figure out why the terminal isn't coming out.

Mine does that periodically in the single digits, even after sitting overnight from previous day of running. I replaced the main battery a couple years ago with the larger one and removed the auxiliary battery. Pretty sure it is a voltage issue that is not allowing remote start. Standard push button start shows no issues, starts just fine.

Thanks I’m going to do the charge and reset after the storms this weekend. I already have the big battery in it. H7.

Sounds just like the way mine acts. It was 5 degrees yesterday morning. Wouldn’t remote start. This morning 24 degrees it remote started just fine.

Well, I knew I shouldn't have responded to this thread. No remote start last couple of days and today was in the low 20's, so checked the battery after I started it and let it run a bit. shut it off and checked, 12.6 volts. let it sit a coupe more minutes, 12.4 then 12.2 on down to 11.96 when I stopped. New battery is in. Lows are 2, -6, -9 and -1 for the next 4 mornings.

I noticed that with my '20 Overland when it got close to battery replacement time. At 11.9 it would start right up from the start button with no issues, but the remote start would not work. I always remote start and let it run a bit to get the cab comfortable.
