Remote Start Upgrade

Hello,

My dad's considering a Sport S with Max Tow but he's conflicted because he really wants remote start. Has anyone added it to the Sport after purchase?

On the 2021 it is part of the Sport S package, 24S

Sport S should come with remote start standard. I have a 2020 Sport S and mine did. Maybe you’re confusing the regular Sport? Because the regular Sport doesn’t come with it

Remote start wasn't a standard option on my 2021 Sport S, it was part of the convenience group which was then part of a popular equipment package that was a no-brainer to get. Looks like it's that way on the 2022 as well. On the 2022, it's $1100 for the hard top, tow package, remote start, and garage door opener.

I like the Fortin Evo. It just uses the factory remote so you don't need a second fob.

If you have push button start and keyless entry, all you need is the Evo All and the harness.

Well, I would HOPE it comes with a starter, but no, it does not come with remote start. It's not part of the max tow package. It IS part of the convenience group, the cold weather group, and the popular equipment package. If you add any of those to your max tow Sport S, you get the remote start. Most people add at least one of those, but if you order a bare bones Sport S max tow, you do not get it.

Just make sure it's not deleted due to some component shortage. For awhile they were not including storage bags for the freedom top, for example. They just knocked like $100 off and said go buy aftermarket.
