Remove Mojave Vent Trim Rings?

does anyone have a procedure to remove the orange vent rings from a mojave? i want to paint mine or replace with black or greay, trim ring covers look terrible. also part numbers would be helpful

Man. I’ve been trying to get the fourth orange one. I’ve ordered three from mopar and they have been incorrectly black three times!

I have shiny silver ones I’ll trade you for your orange ones?

Once you remove the vents, the covers Unclip and come off. I gave up, and ordered some punk’n spray paint to paint mine. I’m sick of driving around with my dash half off.

There exist several YouTube videos that detail the dashboard removal that will allow you to remove those rings. Have to search for them because it has been two years since I watched a few.

Here is one (skip to about 3:30). There are a bunch more. Just search on YT for "remove jl dash panels" or "repaint JL dash panels" . You will find several. Once the panels are removed, removing the rings is easy.

man, I just replaced all my stock vents of my Overland for the Mopar orange ones. I think they look cool, and pop against the "boring black and shiny" interior! I would have gladly sent you my old ones... they went into storage prior to moving overseas. Considered painting or dipping the ones I had, but it was hard to match that OEM quality look the Mojave comes with.
