The manual says that a torque wrench should have been included and in my center console. This is not the case.

Not hard or heavy to remove your self just bulky. I have a hard top storage cart for mine. You could also invest in a new taller wife? But I’m sure that would be way expensive as well!

A come-along works with some straps that converge at the center of mass,

Summer is coming and I WILL be going topless in the Jeep but a friend suggested looking into a way to rig up a hoist for the roof (especially the back 1/3) in the garage, rather than the wife and I trying to lift it off.

I'm about 6'-1", the wife however is about 5'-2" or 3"...

Will we be able to get the back roof section off without killing ourselves or (more importantly) not damaging the roof section?
Or should I start looking into setting something up in the garage once we get the patio furniture out and can see if the Jeep will fit (or at least enough to get the roof section off)?
Me: 6'2"
Wife: 5'1"

Easy. No problems.

Nah, I think a girlfriend to go along with the wife might be easier...

Sigh, I don't think a hoist is going to work, looking at the photos...
My garage is (maybe, we've not tried yet) BARELY deep enough to get the Jeep backed in and close the door.

And if it is backed in so I could pull out from under the roof, I wouldn't be able to OPEN the garage door without hitting the supports.
I might look at doing an A-frame out of 2x4s to lift it off with, although the wife and I are going to try the method in the video XraytecH posted (I've got a black non-painted top, but will probably chuck an old blanket on the tonneau cover anyways)
I built one for just that type of thing but for my LJ I can pull off or put on hardtop faster than put up or down the softtop.

Having a tonneau cover makes removing the top a piece of cake by myself. I just unbolt the top, flip it backwards, onto a blanket laid on the tonneau cover. Slide it off the back, drop the tailgate, grab the top underneath and carry it into the garage.

My wife is also 5' 1" and she struggles to help with it. I am pretty sure I could do the whole "flip onto bed cover" but carrying it awkwardly any distance still has me worried. I know it doesn't weigh all that much but I still freak out that it's going to flex and break or I'll drop it somehow. I think I'll get it onto the bed cover and let her help from there. It's really just the first part where she can barely lift it high enough.

That or Wife Ramp®. I have a nice folding dog ramp that would give enough height and then I'd actually get some use out of it.

I also use the Sunrider and love it. I use it every day I can. Many days with my JK normal soft top I would not bother because of the time. I use my JT Sunrider all the time.

One person can lift it with no bother.

Also helps if you have bed cover and an old blanket.

I have a hard tonneau cover and it makes getting the top off possible by yourself.
I never thought about how careful I would have to be with a painted top because I don't have one. I surely would have scratched it or worse.

Painted top is problematic.

“How is the front supported?”

It looks like it’s leaned up against the wall. According to the link he provided the platform is 30 inches wide. The roofs go out to 42 inches.
