I can sure see why no one associated with Jeep would want to be involved, even a tech, because if you mess up and something doesn't work right - they are part of the process that goes the misfunctioning equipment in place.

I get the sentiment, but they really wouldn't be liable if they answer the question that I am asking of them, which is "where does Jeep (Stellantis) put the module in the vehicles built with the system installed?" It is like asking any professional a technical question about their work. It does not make them liable for your actions. If I asked them how to do something, maybe some lawyer could link that to a liability issue but even then, it would be thin in court.

You mentioned the park sense switch - but park sense has nothing to do with the active safety, ACC, FCW and such.

Correct, but the Park Sense, when factory installed does have a switch on the AC controller stack that turns it off if you don't want the sound chirping in your ear. I do have that part and it will plug into my system just fine in my Gladiator that was not built with Park Sense.

This thread is mostly about adding the ACC and FCW - the modules up by the inside mirror for forward collision warning, active cruise control, auto high beams, etc.
Are you wanting only park sense?

Yes, only park sense, none of those features that alter the movement of the vehicle. Just the warning chirp and dash signal when backing up. I have all the parts to add just the rear park sense (the AC controller with the off switch pictured above, the 4 sensors, the mounting pieces for the sensors, a bumper that accepts the sensors, a bumper wiring harness and the controller module. Just missing where the module is located to see if I can pick up the connections off the main body wiring harness or if I need to have a harness created or purchased.
this is park sense - in the rear bumper.

You can have park sense and no ACC/FCW or active braking
You can have BSM and no ACC/FCW or active braking
Yes but you can only build (or have a dealer spec'd) Gladiator with Active Safety Package (rear Park Sense, BSM and LED tailights) or Advanced Active Safety Package (adds in those other things you mention).

My Jeep does have the LED light package (but does not have the BSM or the Park Sense) so t might have the correct wiring, just not able to find out at this point of my investigation.

Unless they have changed things since I read about it, Jeep lays out the wiring harness for each truck and customizes it based on the options ordered. The wiring for many options that are factory install only is left out.

Finding some good deals on the 23 Gladiators but most of them don’t have the Active Safety Group due to the shortage recently

Would love to get a good deal off the lot and add the sensors for the park assist, etc if possible

Does anyone know if it’s possible with the gladiator? I know it can be done with the Wrangler
Not sure if you got an answer, I am certainly interested but this site might offer an OEM solution.

Couldn’t one just do the same thing using J scan? What are they bringing to the table?

Edit: looked closer and see they include wiring harness and sensors so there’s that
You need a bumper that puts the sensors in the correct location, the sensors/brackets, etc. and wiring harness.
These include the wiring harness and sensors, but that's not enough itself.
Yes, JSCAN or AlfaOBD can do it, so their kit with the bypass cable and software would be redundant for many of us, it also isn't enough without the bumper.
The sensors have to be located and oriented correctly. So their kit is only part of what you need.
There's no disable button either - I must disable it when towing and so on - otherwise it will annoy the heck out of you. There's no way to do that with a DIY install.
