Haven't seen this type of grease fitting before and assumed this adapter was the closest match.

That is on all Ram 2500, and 3500 4x4's front driveshafts. And that's the only needle that will fit. I have a couple of the needles laying around. You don't grease the u joints themselves. But the ball in between them.

There's three of those fittings in the pics on that Cardan joint. I'll be greasing all three. The installation instructions were to install the driveshaft then grease the joints but the middle one is impossible to get to once installed.

OK, I see the 2 fittings on the u joints. Had to blow the picture up on my phone.

Some of the Power Wagon guys drop the driveshaft to get to that fitting in the middle for the ball.

The center grease fitting can usually be reached by rotating the drive shaft. Easiest to do when on a hoist, but can do by lifting axle onto jack stands, chocking the other, and placing in neutral to spin the shaft until you can reach it. Had this exact style on my custom TJ drive shaft.

I stopped using anything but the needle style, on the end of a whip hose. Hold in place, inject grease, next. Can use needle on any grease fitting. The "typical" chuck style almost never have enough room for clearance.
