Yeah.. I don’t think the instructions are bad per say, just very technical when laying on the floor after a 12 hour shift in 100 degree weather when you are missing hardware lol.

They’ll be in the mail today they said.

Alrighty, they are in. Don’t want to double post with my build thread so I’ll leave this here:
TLDR; love em.

White knuckle sliders are in. They are stout. Wish their instructions did a better job of explaining and maybe pictures per instructions, but once you get the general hang of things they went in fairly easy. Biggest bear is the backing plates.

Since I already paid some much for my JTRD... Figured I'd better protect her right... Opted for the WK after weeks of research and reading all your posts here. I went for the upgraded tubing, and had them add an extra 2X2 so it is a 2X4 square main tube. I went for the under stock skins so I'd have both frame and body mounts.
Figure after market wheels will stick out some and with the extra length of the truck from my JKU, the extra sticking out would help me with both items.
Shipping to HI, wasn't going to be inexpensive no matter which manufacturer I chose. Also love the these were made for me... lead time wasn't too bad since my JT still sat in Seattle ?.

I picked mine up in June and was too scared of the scorching sun to install until this past weekend. So far I'm loving them.

I'd recommend you look into Rokblokz for the front at the very least, the sliders will protect against rock chips, but with the Rokblokz you can eliminate a lot of extra chipping possibility.

I had read this thread months ago, dreaming of buying either of these products. With baby #2 on the way I just couldn't justify spending that much on something I likely wouldn't "use" for anything other than a step and to avoid door dings. I don't anticipate doing any real rock crawling, but I do enjoy the trails quite a bit. I was going to buy a cheap set of Barricade steps for $360 just to get me through for a couple years..

Imagine my surprise when a perfect set of used Rock Hard Patriot sliders popped up on Facebook marketplace! I got crazy lucky and brought them home for $320 + a quarter tank of gas. It was even the angled up version, which I prefer aesthetically.

First impressions:

I audibly laughed when I first picked them up, they're heavy and you can see/feel how strong they are. Fitment is absolutely 100% spot on.

If you're going to install them yourself, USE HEAT on the body bolts. Those front bolts took me a combined 2.5 hours to remove with a 24" breaker bar and heat. I was told not to use an impact, and honestly I don't think the impact would've worked anyway.

Here they are, after 4hrs of labor. Nice little step for my wife, and they're not in the way for me to get in, but my leg does slide alongside it as I get out (6'1, 34" in seam).

Looks great. If you aren't already planning to do so, I suggest some grip tape on the top. They get really slippery when wet.

I actually bought some yesterday when I went to grab a torch. I'll be throwing that on whenever I get a spare minute!

I read this thread and decided to go with the RH RHX sliders. I put them in my cart on TrailRecon and got an email the next day telling me if I came back, I could take 10% off. I ended up getting them for $990 with free shipping. They shipped same day and arrived in 5 days. The WKs I had considered were about $500 more plus freight shipping, which made them almost double, plus a 6 week wait. I installed them tonight, and I am loving the look and sturdiness.

I live in Tennessee, so the drive to WK was a little too far for me.

Yeah I think freight was like $300-$400 for just 120ish miles, so I made the drive.

WK is a big business but small shop if that makes sense. All their stuff is made to order where as RH is a bigger scale shop that stocks products by the truck load. I don’t think you can go wrong with either set. Your Mojave looks great.

Thanks! I can't wait for the stock tires to wear out. I'm going to do a 4" lift with 37s. I don't know if I'm going to be able to wait. I've been working on the front end since I cracked the stock front bumper on my house.
