Yes, you need to loosen the nuts on the Aluminum rod and turn it Up or Down 1/4 to 1/2 a turn and re-test. I do not remember which way... Once the step is level, you have to fix the clearances. I noticed that you took some hits on your sliders, but, you also have the armor, but, still, a dent in both may still change the clearances of the step. If you cannot fix the clearances with loosening the 1/2 inch bolts and pushing the steps around, then, you need take your portable angle grinder and trim the sides of the steps so that the clearances are good again. Then, just touch up the sides of the step with black satin paint. The steps will work the best when they do not hit any of the platform while retracting and extending, ie. no clanging...Any thoughts on this the front is still lower in the back?![]()
Also, I recommend you do not let the hits rust. I have a small bottle of touch up paint - satin black. After every 4Wheel trip, I clean the hits with alchohol and then paint them with the small bottle and small brush. This will keep everything looking good.
