I ended up having to hole saw the back board. At 240 rpms, there wasn't enough juice to cut through it. It would just stop and slip the belt.Exactly. I had to use one of my step bits to drill some plastic recently. I had the same problem. I just clamped wood underneath. It worked great. No need to have a hole. The bit will just continue through.
