RotopaX Stainless Steel Spigot Kit

Several people noticed the spigot I added to my RotopaX Water Container. They asked if I made a kit, so I decided to put some together for those that are interested. The kit comes with stainless steel spigot, stainless steel cap, Delrin spacer and gasket grade cork gasket. It is not a unique idea as there are many like this online. I designed my own spacer and gasket only to work with the spigot. Available on the website if you are interested!

Sorry if the photos were confusing. The stainless cap is installed in some of the photos. The spigot has male threads so that a hose can be attached. You can see the cap is not installed in this photo

Are they venting? I have a set of these from another vendor that look identical. They barely let water out, and we end up just taking them off and pouring. If they’re venting, please share a video of the water being dispensed. If it comes out reasonably fast, I’ll order 6 of them. But 34.99 is pretty steep if they don’t vent.

Hey, No sorry, they do not vent. I have not yet found a venting one that will work well for this setup. I know RotopaX has their spigot now but it does not say anything about being vented. I have a fuel tank vent in the container also which makes it pour great. There are several online that are similar. This is not a unique design, I just created my own spacers and gaskets. It is a bit cheaper if someone does a DIY setup. For me, the cost covers the spigot, laser cutting the spacers and gaskets and the extra caps that are included.

Agreed. Thanks. I need a venting spigot because my tanks are mounted sideways in two stacks of three on my trailer tongue. So that doesn’t leave much air space on top for a vent in the tank.

It looks like you just need a small water tank not the roto packs.
Nice set-up, my 4 wheeler trailer has a few things like your trailer. I moved my RRT on it. But definitely not as HD as the off-road trailers like yours.

We used to have larger 7 gallon jugs, but like the 2 gallons better. Easier to throw one on the Jeep for a day trip. And between the two stacks is where our garbage can fir the day goes.

So, would a tire valve stem work for a vent on top? You can remove the valve so it's open when
you remove the cap. Just thinking out loud.

It will the gas can vent kits are just that.

One vendor told me they were working on a venting spout. I was hoping 813 had come up with one. Eventually someone will. Tank vents are certainly possible, but I’m holding out for now.

I'd rather use something made as food grade too.
