Did you disconnect your battery when you took off the throttle body or is just disconnecting the wiring good enough?
Maybe I should have, but I didn't disconnect the battery. I just disconnected the harness from the throttle body and removed it for cleaning.

Yes, I had oil in my intake. To me, it looked normal/typical. The throttle body had some dark varnish-like residue (age and heat), and there was light wet oil upstream. Likely source is from the crankcase vent between the air intake box and throttle body.

You you need to do a throttle re-learn process if you clean and/or remove the throttle body?
I’ve had mine off twice and haven’t needed to.

Cool. I’ll try this on mine after I get it put back together. Ever since almost new, it’s done this. Idles fine at fast idle, but rough in park till you start driving it or let it idle for a while. Of course the dealerships said it’s normal. One tried to charge me a diagnostic fee because they couldn’t find anything wrong with it and it was a year old with like 18k miles on it.
