Anyone on here have one in hand yet (unlikely given no posts ) or given tracking/shipping info?. I was given notice of the shipment arrival on the 22nd of Oct and an invoice for the remaining amount. Estimated time to clear the port and start shipping to consumers ~2 weeks. So there should be some arriving or at least starting to ship to people at this time.

I was told mine would be in today most likely...I'll update when I hear from the dealer one way or the other!

Mines coming from offroad alliance. I was told from them, they should start shipping in the next 2 weeks. No idea if that to them or from them to me as he wasn't descriptive. Also I know they don't have them in stock yet so who knows.

We should be seeing them soon from other companies. My guess is by late November, customers will have their product. Mines going on a sport s with a softtop. I loved how it looked in their release pics but they didn't show the whole truck. Im hoping im really going to like it seeing at it wasn't cheap, but im sure I will. It seems to be the best one on the market and best looking.

Cant wait.

Also Offroad Alliance here. Keep getting mixed messages from them about shipping delays, etc. I don't think they have a clear picture of what is going on at the distributor level. They are really responsive to questions though.

I don't feel the need to push the issue yet, but it's been a few weeks since paying in full. It was implied at the time paying meant your cap was actually on the shore and getting ready to ship. I have a feeling that isn't exactly correct. I'm willing to wait though.... we're getting 5" of snow today, lol.

Got notification today from my dealer that my Smartcap will be arriving on the truck tomorrow! I will probably get it installed this weekend, so likely no updates from me until then. There's a small chance I will make it down earlier but I will probably just wait for the weekend to make sure there's plenty of time for the installation.

They also told me they've been getting a ton of orders in the last couple weeks for the Gladiator application specifically, so I would expect to see several more people on here getting them on their JTs very soon!

@RSI North America Inc Random question; I saw a review of the Smartcap on a Tacoma and saw a photo of the mounting system. It looks different than the clamps I've seen used for the Gladiator version, would it be possible to mount the Gladiator one like this, or are the clamps the only option?

I got a call and I have a mystery freight shipment coming in tomorrow. My only other freight item is still showing in pending status, so I'm assuming it's the cap. Unfortunately, I never received any prior notice or coordination, just this random phone call this morning, so I haven't ordered my bed rails yet so that I can mount it, so I'm a bit behind the power curve. I was trying to hold out for black friday to snag a few more bucks off, but I may just pull the trigger.

If I do receive the cap tomorrow, I expect to have it mounted up next week once the bed rails get in.

Where did you see the clamps of the Gladiator cap? There are so many posts across various threads now that I can't keep track.

I kind of made an assumption in my previous post that it requires bed rails to mount, but a picture would help make that determination.

Yeah those photos are in one of the other threads here on the forum. The clamps DO still use the bed rails, the bottom of the clamp slides into the rail and the top clamps down on the cap.

Looking at it all more closely, I don't think the Tacoma method would work because of how the bed sides are...probably why they use the clamps instead.

Weird, they were very responsive with me.

I wonder if the subsequent ships are late to hit port. They took my full payment about 3 weeks ago.

My cap did indeed arrive! The dealer said that the boxes all look good, so thats a good sign.

I will hopefully be getting it installed tomorrow - the shop said theyd put it together and then when its ready I'll drive down and get it installed.

They weren't 100% sure they'd have time to put it together tomorrow so if not I will have to wait until some time next week...fingers crossed!

I got a call from a freight company to setup an appt. First confirmation that anything had actually shipped to me, from anyone.

Got an appointment setup for Monday, so we'll see! It's kinda of killing me knowing it's at the terminal and will sit there this weekend. I didn't know the size of the boxes and didn't think they would appreciate me putting it together in their parking lot.
