when I ordered my RSI SC, I also ordered the Kitchen, and the rails for mounting a Roof Top Tent

I am worried that the rails will not be in on time for a trip that is coming up soon. Does anyone know if I MUST use RSI rails, or can any rail work on this topper?

There are a number of rails that will work. We also have some FrontRunner rails with RSI specific hardware in stock if you're needing a set sooner than later.

Again, to everyone that is inquiring about lead times;

Although supply chain sounds like a feeble excuse, it’s actually still very legitimate. We can usually see when a container ship leaves port overseas. We can then track it across the sea and know when it gets to port. That’s when we are at a loss for information. Once the ships get to port we don’t know when they are unloaded or when the cargo is released from port. It’s not until the caps appear at our warehouses that we know what’s in. They are also released at various times so we never know which container is coming or what’s in it. It’s very difficult for us to predict anything so we’ve opted to not predict. This seems much more effective than predicting incorrectly.

Your order can be cancelled at anytime for a full refund prior to shipment. These caps are always sold out so if cancel, you would lose your spot in the queue.

We continue to have staff available at almost anytime of the day to answer your questions and reply to timeline issues. There is almost always a live person answering the phones, our website chat and responding to emails. We know that some of these caps are taking longer than any of us would like, but we believe RSI is doing everything they can to get them here as quickly as possible.

Morning is your friend. Assemble it inside in the morning. The next morning before it gets hot install it with a couple of friends.

I had to do about 8 hours of work in my attic last year. I did it over 4 days from 7 to 9 AM. Piece of cake. By noon it was 130 in the attic.

I am on-board with that plan. I become a morning person each summer and then revert to a night owl in the winter since moving to AZ lol.

Its already pretty dark. If your goal is to minimize heat build up inside, you might want to line the windows with reflective vinyl on the inside.

if your goal is more privacy, I guess that makes sense. But as it is the only way to really see inside is to walk up to the truck and put your hands around your eyes and press up against the window.

yeah i might just have them tint the glass as you can clearly see what's inside the bed cap. Will also match my tints on the truck itself

Huh, well that’s where I ordered from as well, like I said placed the order In early Dec… and still waiting. Maybe the like you better than me not sure why they haven’t filled my order @OffroadAlliance.com

I ordered in November and still waiting. They have been responsive on status updates for the most part but my last inquiry got no response I'll try again next week.

Already have the Left bin, FR Rack, SkyCamp Mini3 tent, fridge w/ slide and lights waiting.

Spent extra cash to get legs to hold up the rack with the bed rail system in the interim to have this solution while I wait:

What do you guys think of the temperature inside in the sun? I've been reading on Tacoma forums, people complaining how hot the metal cap makes it inside.
