Mine came as two seperate boxes, with the roof panel one shrunk wrapped, both boxes had no visible marks I have not been able to check inside for damage yet.I picked it up in Pottsville, Pa. it was in the front of the store with other boxes, like it was a standard strore delivery. AA Autoparts is owned by Keystone, some of the vans in the lot had Keystone logos.....Jack

I am really looking forward to seeing this on your hydro blue JT. I have one on order for mine as well. Any idea when you'll have it installed?

If anyone is interested, here is how mine was delivered.

Considerably better than mine, but I don't even want to THINK about how many handoffs it took to get mine up to my Alaskan island.....

Again, luckily the damage to the top box (the roof panel) was limited to packaging.

TJBrown, hopefully this weekend, stainless unistrut is coming Friday to put side channels on, and I'm really hopeful the 9/16" rubber strips I ordered shows up in time as mine did not come with the extra pads in the box and I'll wait to do it.

Mine didn't come with extra pads either. Interested to know if the people that uses 1/2" pad was able to make it work by shaving it down.

Well mine does have eight pads that are 3/8" thick, RSI said slip a 9/16" under rear corners or even the whole side if you want, that is 3/16" more! I'm thinking no rubber strips in time for weekend! On well figures!.....Jack

I have some high-density foam mats that are made to go under gym equipment. They are about 5/16" but have a little give than the 8 pads. I think if I stack two squares of this mat, that should fit the bill. @RSI North America Inc said it should be standard for hardware stores, which I believe, I just don't know what to search for to find it.

for what it's worth, not sure the extra pads solved it. Mine still is pretty tight. When I get a little free time I'll shoot some better images for us all to compare....

I can see what they are mechanically trying to accomplish. I have an old cutting board that is pretty thick and since HDPP has zero give, it might also work. I'm a "hold my beer" kind of Oklahoma engineer, so I will try numerous solutions before settling. I had a trifecta of demands that needed to be met by this cap and one is creating a dust-free seal. That'll be the KPI for my tests. We'll figure this out together.

I think I would be careful about "zero give", I agree the rubber they use is hard but has some give.

I went back and watched the videos they included. It’s like an anti vibration rubber spacer. Now that I see that HDPP is not the answer.

I'm not too worried we'll get the rear hatch thing sorted out, you want to be worried??
I'm going to sleep in the bed on some kayak tourenaments, and do fit digonally, but am going to take a run at making a "tent" extension between the dropped tailgate and opened rear hatch, possibly with a pickup truck pop up camper door, just has to fold in and peel velcro in under a minute! Will have a partner stove and a very basic sink possibly on a slide. I just can't get my head around a 140 pound hard case roof top tent , although the Roofnest Falcon is my favorite. I just won't use it enough and I have to have one piece surf rods and kayaks up top. !.....Jack

I have a CVT Mt Shasta that’s my preference. I’ll go iKamper one day. I’m building a drawer system and fridge slide. It’ll have a sleep platform but I’ll likely let the kids and dogs use that. I plan on having about as close to a daily driven bug-out truck as possible.
