Rubicon oem steel bumper on Mojave

When I added a 1inch inch coil spacer to my last Mojave the clunk from the bump stop went away. One the new Mojave I have 1.5 inch coil spacers up front, 1.5 inch Curries shock extensions and a 1 inch bumpstop extension on the axle, no clunking! Anyway this leads me to think that simply adding a 1/2 inch coil spacer might be just enough to get rid of the clunk.

Still ride stock? I was thinking of the AEV 2" with correction brackets. Did you add any correction brackets or longer mopar LCA's?

The AEV kit was great, but you'll be into the bumps just as often as the kit includes a 2" bump spacer and 2" coil spacer. You could run the AEV kit but go with a 1" bump spacer to have an extra 1" of uptravel. Before bump stop contact though. I ran it without geo brackets for 20k miles on 37s. By that point being wheeled hard in the desert and the added weight of the winch and bumper had me in the bumps too often. Now it's on 3.5" metalcloak springs, geo brackets up front, and the rock krawler triangulated 4 link uppers rear. Rides and handles great and doesn't get into the bumps unless you're pushing it.

It rides as I expected when comparing to the last Mojave. I do have an ARB Classic Stubby bumper and a Warn M8000-s up front which may change the ride a bit. I installed things on both Mojave’s with less than 1000miles so it is hard to make a comparison now.

I did add Mopar lift kit lower control arms and a Falcon pass through steering stabilizer which both help the steering feel.

I still contact the bump stops lightly but very rarely with road use. Has to be a notable bump.

For the rear I use Daystar 3/4 inch coil spacers and a 1/2 inch bump stop extension to be sure the 37’s stay off the fenders.

What shocks are you running with the Metalcloak lift?

Stock mojave with shock extensions. Works great.

Did you replace the front driveshaft?

Nope, still stock. In my experience you only need a front shaft if your front shocks extended length is 29" or more. Even with 2" shock extensions the mojave shocks aren't long enough to require it.
