i have a 2022 Willys Sport and am thinking about adding a Rubicon suspension. I have read that the Willys already comes with the Rubicon suspension. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

A Willys comes with a Willys suspension, as the Rubicon comes with a Rubicon suspension.

Why are you wanting to go through the trouble of swapping? You will not gain anything of significance. The current Rubicon now comes with the red shocks (tennico), same as the Willys. The springs are based on the trim you have, ie: diesel has heavier spring rate for weight, steel bumpers, hard top, same. Everything else, control arms, track bars, sway bars, same.

That's why I asked. I didn't know if it would make much of a difference or not. Thanks for the info.....

I’ve looked into this for my Willys Sport as well and came up with not much more than the Rubi springs MIGHT be 1” taller than the Willys, and that the red shocks are the same. Problem is they have different part numbers, which means they are probably different in length, valving, etc. Manufacturers generally don’t like duplicate part numbers for the same part. Spring will vary on JL & JT based upon powertrains and model. I'd thus conclude there is an actual difference in the springs, but how much, and the PITA factor of swapping them out, might make it not worth the effort & expense.

In my Willys’ case I got rid of the 32” BFG KM2s the day after I bought the Jeep and had the tire shop fit it with Rubi spec 285/70 R17 BFG K02s (almost 33s). I liked the ride as it is, so I did the Teraflex 1.5” spacer, Tera’s 2” shock extensions and the longer lower control arms from the Mopar 2” lift kit. This is my daily driver. I have an older Rubicon JK built for the trails so the Wills will rarely if ever see much trail use. The spacer leveled the Willys nicely and the other stuff restored the handling and shock travel. Aside from the wheeling & dealing I did on the tire swap, I probably have less than $300 and my wrench time in the whole shebang.
