Has anyone installed a BuiltRight Utility Rail on top of a drop in bedliner?

If yes, could you share some pics of how you did it? I am trying to see if I need to completely cut out where the rails would go so it would be metal on metal the whole way or just small cut outs where the bolts go.

My main goal is to have additional tie down points for hauling dirt bikes and some side ones would be a bonus which is why the rail is appealing to me. It would also help distribute the load over just a single anchor.

I have the same liner, I think it may have dimples in the liner where the bolt holes are for the rails on the sides. I would just drill holes in the liner and bolt the rails on sandwiching the liner in between.

The dimples for sure will make it easier to find the holes in the bed.

I don't know how thick your liner is or what their tolerances are on their bolts.

You may have to source bolts that are a smidge longer to get full engagement of threads.

Good feedback. If I can find longer bolts, that would save me from having to find a way to get metal on metal contact.
