Wanted a hoop with the Venator but the I wasn't really feeling the option they had for it and it wasn't available anyway so I took a shot on the Arcus hoop and, with some minor mods to the Venator brackets, it fits perfect and I'm happy with how it turned out.

The "mods" made to the Venator brackets is simply cutting some welded on nuts off that interfere with where the studs on the bottom of the hoop drop in. You have to mess around with the reassembly order of the bumper from how it's listed in the instructions, but it's easy enough to figure out (I did so that should say something lol).

If anyone else wants to go this route and has any questions just let me know!

I was kind of in the same boat between stubbies and this one with the "OEM" style you mentioned; have been pretty happy with it thus far!

You can remove the wings that extend out toward the fenders, but it leaves the fog lights exposed and a really unfinished look that I would not recommend. I would imagine that Rugged Ridge would have the foresight enough to expect people wanting that versatility and produce some small caps to install to protect the lights and clean it up but idk.

Man awesome choice, I’m also looking at that one. Nice job on the hoop. When you get time do you mind posting a couple photos of the backside of the end of the bumper. Only thing I don’t like is how it’s an open hole and I’m thinking about adding some mesh. Thanks

Looks great. Was there any difference in MPG / road noise / road driving after installing?

This is great! I've got that bumper headed my way but didn't get the one that comes with it as I didn't care for it. This I like.

Would you mind taking a picture of what the front trail cam view is?

I love it! Did you end up finishing a plate to cover the winch? That's exactly what I had in mind but maybe a light bar instead of the hoop. Also where did you mount the controller?

I did end up getting the plate done; I went with fiberglass and mounted with some screws - unfortunately I don't have any pics. Controller is mounted to next to the winch on the driver side on a bracket I fab'd up that mounts to the frame tie in points under the top plate of the bumper. I was planning on extending the plug in for the winch control box as you can't access it easily with my current setup but ended up not doing that and just relying on the wireless capability which hasn't been an issue thus far. I'll try to get some pics when I get back from this work trip but I have the memory of a goldfish and severe ADD lol.

Looking forward to the pics. I pulled the trigger and installed this over the weekend. Need to fill the gap while I save up for a winch. Thinking about putting a winch fund donation box in there ?
