Any updates on how you like them? Seriously considering them
i actually really like them and I find myself adjusting them just based on where I’m driving and how the roads are (Ohio roads suck). When I was off road with them the one time so far, I had them in trail mode and set to full soft (wasnt really rock crawling) and they were pretty amazing. I’d do it again if I was given the choice. I have not found a need to go with the Pro version, the Active version is more than enough for me.

I’m just getting ready to pull the trigger on these as well along with a Clayton 3.5 lift. Glad to hear that you’re enjoying them! Keep us updated on what you think, haven’t met too many people whose brain I can pick for these.

Great, they're definitely not cheap, but the techie in me loves the idea of semi active suspension

The extra damping should help with roll and sway. Have you played with the weight bias feature at all? It seems handy to be able to bias based on load? Thanks!

So I went with the Active version and not the pro version that lets you customize a lot more, but I have had weight in the rear and used the “load” feature which lets you adjust the shocks in 25% increments based on how much is in the bed, on the rear in an overlanding setup, or on the hitch and it worked well. I can really only manually adjust front and rear with mine but the active system still adjusts at 250/sec and
Has the touch screen knob. It’s more than enough for what I’m using it for.

How do they compare with the stock Rubi suspension in terms of offroad ride-quality when "fully soft" in lower speed (<20mph) conditions? I have no doubt they kill the stock suspension in anything at speed on or off-road, but I am curious how they do when on a trail that calls for 4-lo speeds, not necessarily crawling.

I'm adding 35's and the Clayton 1.5" diesel lift springs up front and likely a .75" spacer in the back to keep a low COG. Hard to spend $5k when as is, everything is working good. I was going to get the Bilstein 8100 bypass, but for just a little more the eclicks are just so interesting!

@Jcmonty & @ajkaz - When you guys pull the trigger please post the shop you used (if applicable). I'm on the fence and have a JTRD as well but am waiting for more feedback and shops to get more experience with the product.

Thanks @Eazye ! Love to hear it. I was actually doing a mild trail yesterday (pic for attention) and felt like I was a little underdamped in certain scenarios. I don't have any weight yet on the truck, which will exacerbate things if not corrected. But it's super soft on the top, which is good for the slow and small stuff. Sounds like everything is just more controlled with the SDIs which is great.

It's funny @ajkaz ; I was super worried that it would be a swaying boat on road, but it's really not. The TSB for the diesels must have made a difference. I do get a bit of sway and bump steer, but it's by no means un-driveable. Pretty darn good off road as well, but I haven't done anything too crazy as of yet. I get my pop-up camper in about two weeks, which will add some weight, especially after I build it out. I do think high capacity springs are in my future, plus 35s which is leading me to 2-2.5in lifts (AEV Or Clayton 2.5 are my thoughts atm). I don't want to lose the overall decent MPGs and on-road by going to big. Sorry for the digression!

A little (and I mean little) body roll but other wise smooth over bumps and imperfections, it handles well and tracks great. I'm adding 35's and the Clayton 1.5" diesel lift springs up front and likely a .75" spacer in the back to keep a low COG. Hard to spend $5k when as is, everything is working good. I was going to get the Bilstein 8100 bypass, but for just a little more the eclicks are just so interesting!
I was going to go with the same Bilsteins but for the same reasons decided to go with the SDi shocks instead. I like it because it does the same adjustments but from the comfort of the cab on the fly!

Also FWIW - I emailed SDI, and they said that it should work with the stock rubicon backspacing and lift (if barely). Lift helps, but no need to go crazy on the backspacing

For both of you, if you have not gone down the spring route yet, I had Clayton’s and switched to Rock Krawler and do not regret it one bit. The RK springs ride quieter (less noise from coils hitting) and I feel they are a bit smoother. And, don’t forget, you can set bed load on the shocks as well so they can help compensate for your camping gear in the back.
