1. I am wanting to use the aux tank as an extension of the main tank. No transfer pump, just have it plumbed directly into the stock tank so it self-feeds. You wouldn't even use the filler behind the fuel door, use a cap on the top of the tank. In this scenario, the top of the fuel cannot be any higher than the filler neck, else you will have fuel spilling out the oem filler neck like this:Probably what I'll do.
Why not take it to bed height tho?
Edit: I suppose you could reroute/block off the oem filler tube & use a taller aux tank...
2. Taller tank would interfere with the trail-rail mounts.
