More pictures from before the install. The boots are optional. I drive on dirt roads constantly and wanted to keep rocks off of the shaft.

I suppose I am concerned that you are not happy at all with the Mojave shocks. Are there better? Absolutely, but they aren’t trash by any means.
Can you provide more information on your current setup?? Do you have shock extensions on? Have your sway bar links been extended?

What about the ride is it that you don’t care for? And what is the expectation with new shocks? Visual upgrade or full send air time?

without knowing the need- Bilstein bypass 8100’s are awesome- the ability to quickly tune through the shock travel is awesome. I have had these on our JKU. Great shock. King hydro bump stops are great to match with these, and I would recommend king over fox for hydro bumps for rebuilding….

Truly, unless you intend to get real Rowdy, ^^ is an almost $5,500+ shock setup that can be a total waste if you don’t plan to go fast and get crazy.

If you want a good ride and looking for top shelf, checkout accuair’s full air ride setup. Probably the best get it all done (exception go fast desert/dune) setup you could go with.

Please provide some more details to your current setup and your intended use. ??? otherwise we can all recommend the moon and you could end up with not much better than your current setup.
I do enjoy the shocks, I mean you can’t go wrong with fox most of the time. Ive really been wanting to get rid of the extension brackets by getting longer shocks. But I’m running 37’s with JKS 3-3.5 J-Kontrol lift with their adjustable sway bar links and their shock extension brackets. I’m looking into swapping to rock jock sway bars front and back in the future. I’m hoping to get a better ride and off-roading capability, most roads I ride on here in Florida are rough and a lot of sandy dirt roads. With the occasional obstacle course and rough hunting road. so I’d like to be able to cruise since it’s my daily driver and wheel off road without sacrificing one or the other. I know that’s a lot harder than it seems though.

Checkout Eclik. You won’t be disappointed. 2.5 reservoirs with fully electronic management, monitoring, and automated adjustments during driving. I’ve eliminated body roll on the road, and they handle off road like nothing I’ve seen. It’s a completely new vehicle. You have three base modes, road, offroad, and desert/baja. All modes can be adjusted an enormous amount, and front and rear can be set differently from within the cab. I could go on for a long time.

They’re pricey but they seem to be the best of both worlds. Did you buy them directly through SDI? Do they adjust well with like pot holes and whoops at higher/cruising speeds?

I bought them directly. They adjust for absolutely everything. For instance, I did a 100 mile round trip on the interstate yesterday, so speeds from 65-75+ with corners. I in two seconds adjusted front and rear to full sport. I could take corners like my wife’s Volvo. No body roll and just planted. Lots of weight in the bed, they have a setting for rear weight compensation. Just a rotation of the click wheel while driving. Desert Baja mode allows high speeds with bumps and whoops and no bottoming. Corners are compensated for automatically. Outside shocks stiffen during the corner. It’s truly ridiculous. They have their own ECU and inertia/tilt/roll sensor included. The system then connects to the obdII port to get speed, steering angle, braking information, etc. from the Jeep. So as you slow down, they automatically soften. As you get to speeds requiring more safety, they stiffen accordingly.

Another selling point for me is that they have one shock body length, but three internal clip options. Meaning you can change your shock length if you change your lift. I didn’t like the small height windows that fox and king offered. I was worried I’d invest a bunch of $, change the lift a year later, and be left with the wrong length shocks. These are built to order for your lift, but can be changed easily later.

Wow. that truly is impressive,

I like I can adjust them for the tow weight because I tow atv and utvs frequently to parks. That is an amazing selling point, because I’m looking at possibly going to a bigger lift in the next year possibly. And I had the same worry about spending nearly 3-4k on shocks then having to get rid of them and buy new ones when I went bigger. Ima have to consider these over other options. Thank you for the information.

Any time. Cody at SDI spent a ton of time talking to me and answering questions before and after I ordered. It’s a crazy system. Here’s a picture showing the under hood install. The ECU is on the fuse box cover. They provide a template and rubber washers to seal the holes you drill. The intertia/tilt/roll sensor is above the firewall in the center. I installed over two days. I opted to do wiring on day one, and shocks on day two. They separate the harnesses so you can install the touch screen click wheel shift knob, ecu, sensor, etc. power harness separately from shock harnesses.

I have a Mojave also. I switched out my stock Fox shocks with longer Fox 2.5 Elite reservoir shocks. If you buy the ones for 3.5" lift they will be long enough if you go higher.
Also how many miles are on your stick shocks? At 40k they will all need to be rebuilt and that is something you have to consider when buying shicks. Falcon will not sell the rebuild parts to you so they have to go back to Falcon to be rebuilt. Fox is good they will sell you all the parts and spend the time on the phone with you to make sure you get everything you want (Ethan from Fox truck off-road). Codi at SDi is always great, he is not a wrench turner, but he will definitely help you and he will talk to Dan (the owner and designer of their parts) to get all the information you want.
It kind of comes down to how much $$$ you want to spend. You can find brand new Fox 2.5 elite shocks, all 4 for around $2300. You could have your oem Fox shocks rebuilt for a lot less (CrazyCooter on her does them and a few other places), but I wouldn't go any higher of a lift with the OEM shocks and shock extensions. Not sure how much SDi shocks cost, but they are more complicated to install as you have to add wiring in.

Thanks for the reminder. My other consideration was that SDI estimates well over 80k before requiring rebuilds. That doubles the foxes, and kings are probably more like 15k if you wheel them.

I don't know if I would go 80k on shock oil... Maybe the puston rings and deals could be fine, but oil breaks down. I use to rebuild motocross suspension and even on the slowest riders the oil broke doen rather quickly.

I’m just taking the word of The manufacturer on this one. They don’t seem to be a blow smoke kind of outfit.

They definitely are a great company. When I. Did motocross suspension they were the only wholesaler I would buy parts from. They are slso the USA factory Shows parts supplier. Dan got his start in motocross, he was a factory suspension mechanic for one of the major teams in the sport. But just as I wouldn't go 20k before oil changes like some companies say they products can go for, and also having taken apart suspension for so many years and seeing the oil for myself, I wouldn't go 80k on any suspension oil... But that is just me from a former suspension tuners aspect. Other do as they, I never debate anything....

I take your expertise seriously, and won’t go that far by choice as a result. But I love that they won’t ā€œrequireā€ it at low mileage intervals like king and fox.
