I'm running fox 2.5 DSC's for a 3.5-4 lift even though my total lift if actually higher. (front's are -051 and rears are -075 part numbers from the fox link above). Even with a claimed 4.5in lift the suspension bind will limit usable lift. In the front this works out perfect for me as I have 11 in of travel (out of the 11.170). In the rear with the initial 4.5 lift and the adjustable track bar you are never going to get past a 10in stroke of the shock (the -075 has 11.975in of stroke). This is because the 5 link set up binds up, and the stock bump stop prevents the last little bit of compression. What I did to gain more wheel travel is upgrade to the Rock Krawler Pro-X axle cradle which gave me another 2-3 inches of suspension drop, and installed FOX bompstops so i can tuck them in higher. Because of the moment arm angles I now have 14.5in of wheel travel but am still only using about 11 inches of total shock stroke. this is because at full compression the springs bind up (though I have the bup stop adjusted to .125in right before that), so in reality I'm using 10.875in of stroke for 14.5in of wheel travel

Best bet is to measure what you need, and select accordingly. Different lift/shock manufacturers refer to their lift heights and corresponding shock lengths differently.

I'm running a set of Bilstein B8 5160 reservoir shocks with a 3.5" lift. I believe they are rated for 3.5 - 5" lifts.
