Should I exactly match the spare or not? What's your opinion

When I bought my truck it had mud terrains on it that I didn't want. So I h ad a set of BFG K02's installed.

The truck had a matching mud terrain spare and the person buying my tires wants all 5. At the price I'm getting, I'm good with selling all 5. I know I do need to add a 35" spare. The question is, do I put a matching BFG spare. To me there's a fair amount of tire visible and matching would look best. Or do I put a cheap 35" tire like a Milestar ATR. $170 versus $345 OTD. Or should I stop being cheap and pay the extra $175 for a matching spare.

If you are planning on a five tire rotation, get a spare tire that is the same. If not, I would save the $170

Thanks guys. With a spare steel wheel, I don't plan on a 5 tire rotation.

If you’re running 35s and going cheap, you could put a 35x10.50 Kenda under there and gain a little ground clearance.

Scratch my last comment...quick search and it's the Kenda Klever RT. Thank you @Renegade for the simple easy solution. I'm having it installed tomorrow for $190 mounted and balanced. I love the solution. Cheaper and tucking the tire up a bit higher.

Get a matching 5th and do a 5 tire rotation. We manage over 70K miles on BFG KO2’s. Still plenty of tread left at 70K.

If you're not going to do 5 tire rotation, get the cheapest tire with the correct circumference you can get.
