Interesting mine often will begin to idle roughly after sitting in park for like 15 minutes but I never put much thought to it. I just shut the truck off and restart it before moving on
No doubt it does after fifteen minutes idling!

Idling is hard on engines. They must run richer at idle to compensate for exhaust gas dilution of the mixture. It's bad to leave a gas engine idling for very long.
Don't blame the engine if it's a tad uneven after that extreme length of time idling.
That's really hard on it.

Oh I don't blame the engine I just forget to shut it down sometimes when waiting to pick up my daughter.

I have a similar "rough idle" but it actually seems to be connected to my A/C and a cool engine. Turn engine on in the morning with AC on it will feel like its stumbling even though if you pop the hood and listen to the actual engine its smooth as silk. Turn off the AC and the roughness stops. Eventually i'll get the dealer to look at it, but I'm waiting to be closer to end of the 36/36 warranty before i take it in for the smaller stuff.

Wanted to see if anyone else had this issue. 2021 Willys 3.6 with no engine mods.

When I start it up cold and I sit at idle I get what I can best describe as a shuddering or surging sound and feel from the engine. It comes on and stops and repeats. I can feel it and hear it. And it's not very subtle. It also happens when warm at idle when I put on the a/c.

Obviously I plan to take it to the dealer to have it checked out. Just checking to see if others have had this issue and what the outcome was.

Edit: Video where you can hear the obvious shuddering. You can even see a little vibration towards the end.

I was curious if you were able to determine what the cause of your shuttering issue was? I have this same issue on a cold start and I would like to give the dealer somewhere to start if possible. This is the only thread where I have found others with this same issue. Thanks!!

When I have auto stop/start disabled and comes to a stop, a second or two later at the time when SS would normally kill the engine, it runs a little rough then recovers. It's as if it the motor is about to turn off but then realizes it shouldn't. Doesn't last long and isn't enough to bug me.

I have had some start/stop issues in the past but this happens on my morning cold start and I always hit the ESS button to turn it off. The shuddering sounds like a rumbling sound and happens about 2 minutes after the truck was started. It goes away as soon as I pull off but once it sits for or 5 hours it comes back. I have an appointment to take it in but I full expect them to say everything is operating normally.
