Any recommendations on side steps/running boards? Brands, styles, anything. I’m finding it hard looking at pictures and visualizing how they’d look on my own truck. Maybe it’d help to get the community's opinion.. thanks Jeep fam! I am currently looking to pull the plug on these, I am just not sure. Jeep looks exactly the same

I really like my Tyger star armour rock sliders. Dual function as step boards and rock rails. Very high quality.

The ones you linked in the OP are for a JL and won't fit your JT

Go Rhino RB20s which come in two finishes. I got the bedliner finish to match my bedliner and diamondback cover. They are modeled after the Raptor steps.

in general I prefer a full length step opposed to a drop step or even rock rails. Drop steps you can only step in front of the door in the area provided. Rock rails of course you can't step up at all. But a full length you can step up anywhere on the side which helps when cleaning the truck etc.

I really like the Rubi Rails by Barricade
Agreed. My wife has these on her JL 2-door, and they've held up amazingly well. Barricade always takes the "best bang for the buck" award in my eyes.

The only downside to these is that they don't keep debris from the front tire down and away from your doors, hinges, and rear flares. If the OP is concerned about protection from the elements, I would look at a more solid step rather than something with just bars like these.

I was just looking at these Wednesday and really liked them.

part number was RH-80106

Was quoted $899.95 plus 2 hours labor ($120 per hour)

How long did it take you to install yours?

Did you have any issues when you removed the bolts holding the body on?

Where did you buy them?

Those are exactly the ones I got. If I remember right, it took a couple hours to install. I had to drill out the pinch welds a bit and put some touch-up paint on so it wouldn't rust. Besides the bolts being stubborn because they had red loctite on them, it was a pretty painless install.

I like the Barricade Enhanced Rockrails from Extreme Terrain. They look like a set of Rubicon sliders with a tube and support added that can be used as a step. I had a similar OEM step on my JKU and quite liked them.

Unfortunately when I bought my steps, the Barricade was OOS indefinitely so I went with nFab. Look is ok, but doesn’t match the curve of the body at all - just a straight tube. Also plan to add your own finish as these rusted pretty quickly. Also don’t expect any protection like an actual slider would, they’re too thin. But they were cheap, shipped fast, and unlike several others I’d looked at at the time I purchased - in stock, and I wanted some kind of hinge protection before another season slinging salt and stone at them.

Thank you for your input!

I will see if my wife can get in/out before I decide to purchase, but that’s the one I think I want.
