Brand new 2025 Gladiator Mojave X owner and I’m probably going to have lots of questions! The first is that I’m going to need to install sidesteps for the wife, so do any of you have recommendations for a step that would attach to the existing rock rail? I don’t want to replace the rock rail. I’m also not concerned that much about ground clearance because I don’t expect to often be in a situation where that is an issue. If it is, I’ll just take them off. Thanks in advance!

No idea what your budget is, but if you want something that resembles the OEM rock rails, but still offers an always available, full-length step when needed......take a gander at the Powerstep XL. It was one of things the previous owner installed on the latest Gladiator I bought, and I decided to leave them on after using them for a bit. We had them on a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk and I never saw the point....but now, on this truck, I think they are quite alright.

Edit: I see now that you were referring to your eventual sidesteps when saying "I will just take them off". So these aren't really what you are looking for. That said, I am leaving the suggestion considering how well they have served us.

Not what I’m looking for, but nice! Thx.

+1 on the IAG steps. I recently put them on and they're perfect.

i have a set of these, ace engineering sliders. they’re not cheap, but i love them (and so does my 5’2” wife!). they mount to the body bolts and come up and around the oem rails. i had the same issue, i didn’t want to remove the rails and see the pinch weld, but i wanted a step - which these definitely are (a step, that is). bonus that they don't hang down and are legit sliders for when i take it offroad. highly recommend!

Agree they are great. I had them on my ‘16 JKUR but they were about 1/3 the price.

+1 for the M.O.R.E. Hide-A-Step. I’ll be adding the rear door set next. They are solidly made and serve their purpose well.
Thanks for posting your recommendation for the Hide-A-Step!

I’m wondering how they bolt on. Do you need to drill anything or do they use factory holes?

No drilling required. They utilize factory holes/studs and ship with new zinc plated hardware.
