They’re stiffer on the coil perch end. It’s similar to using a shorter coil with a coil spacer. It allows you to run softer springs, but still get the height and softer springs. If that’s what you want.Probably just stiffer in the middle
Some people want stiffer springs with more height. To help mitigate the body roll with the increased height. And also for the ability to carry heavier loads.
