Hauk is out of business, and the owner is most likely facing prison time for skipping town with a bunch of people's money without filling out their orders.Anyone have any experience with the Hauk system; despite it being steel. ASFIR seems solid but not sure on their fitment or how their quality is and shipping coming from across the way…
Definitely worthwhile on that deal! The piecing together isn’t a bad option at all, and maybe I can find something to work in the interim until next Black Friday. I saw them on sale too but not there just yet; I did manage to win the week 1 context from JKS and got my lift for less than half the price ??massive gift there.Hauk is out of business, and the owner is most likely facing prison time for skipping town with a bunch of people's money without filling out their orders.
Now back to the skids, I have the M.O.R.E skid system, although the steel version. They are available in aluminum. I decided I wanted to go with the engine and transfer skid for a (smoother) transition to the factory fuel skid, and to protect the bottom of the oil pan and transmission lines. I also paired it with the Skid row exhaust loop skid (JL version is $20 cheaper). Spent about $600 all in.

The engine skid already saved my bacon once when I decided to be a moron and sent the truck into a mudhole at WAY too fast a speed and slammed the truck into the bottom of it. Skid plate didn't care, and saved my oil pan/transmission case. Only paid for it with a sore back (thankfully).
IF you're willing to wait and try your luck, Motobuilt ran a sale for their full skids with 30% off on Black Friday this year. Not much good for you now, but they do go on sale. I almost bought the set for myself, but didn't want to do the install again and have them painted.

I thought the Asfir engine skid was really well made and it fit nicely. Shipping was really quick as well. I see you are in VA, but I have one available for the 3.6, local pick-up only if you are heading up this way:ASFIR seems solid but not sure on their fitment or how their quality is and shipping coming from across the way…

What's the forum discount+1 on the Asfir. I have the engine, transmission and transfer case pieces, fuel tank in the future. 1/4 inch aluminum, fit great and easy to install. Almost too reasonably priced and there is a forum discount. I bought mine for basic protection, if I was doing rocks I’d have gone RockHard or Next Venture. These fill the bill just right for now-
